Does it get better with age?

I just got my juice from Backwoods Brew today, and it's great! I got some RY4, Malty Toffee, and Dulce De Leche. The dulce de leche is good, it's sweet with very light overtones of carmel. The Malty toffee seems almost flavorless, and the RY4 is mild and pretty dang good! I've heard something about letting ejuice sit for a while, steeping or whatever it's called. What does that actually do for the flavor? (other than just being "Better")
Does it make the flavor stronger? Blend it better? And how long does it generally take to improve?

Lemme know what you know.

between here and there
Better, means it takes some juices longer for the flavors to blend together.....kinda like how meatloaf or turkey always tastes better the day after the first meal...lol
Some take a couple of days, some a couple of weeks.....vape what tastes good to you now, and you will probably notice when you are nearing the end of the bottle that it just tastes better.

Some of the nicotine and tobacco flavoring can be a bit harsh and peppery to some when fresh. It mellows out and becomes smoother.

Flavors like Cherry tobacco, the tang of the cherry quiets down and you taste more of the tobacco. Flavors like Casablanca, the cocoa flavor becomes more prominent especially on the exhale after about 4 days. Less than 4 days I can't even taste it.

Flavors like Peach and Blueberry taste great from the start but dissipate so fast you only taste them on the inhale. With a few weeks of steeping the taste lasts longer and you even get it on the exhale. So flavors blend differently and each one is different. Some aspects become stronger some mellow.

I've never loved a flavor at first taste and hated it later, but have had quite a few I didn't like much until they were 3 weeks old and then quickly ordered more so I could get a new batch steeping.

Isn't Dulce great? I absolutely love the stuff and want to eat the vapor that I exhale. That one becomes a little richer and more flavorful with time.

Malty Toffee gets stronger (flavor has to seep into the VG) and RY4 after 3-4 weeks blends into a more cohesive version of itself (kind of hard to explain).

Put it in a cup of hot water (not boiling, just hot tap water) cap on. Shake it a few times as the water cools down to room temp.
If you put it in water (even with the cap on) and shake it a few times, doesn't water get into it?
Or is the amount of water that does get into it negligible?

I'm asking because my order of Backwoods Brew should be arriving any day now and I don't want to ruin it.

Haven't had any water get into it yet..... let me know if you find that you have any issues. I keep the dropper tip on, and screw the cap on tightly. However, it is a good question, and may depend on the bottles.

Steeping absolutely helps.my favorite juice come practically flavorless sometimes. I find letting the bottle sit, drip cap off in a cool dark place for 24 hrs then transferring to another empty bottle every couple days keeping capped after transfer for a couple weeks really does the trick. Its all about changing the air. I find this to give me much more flavor than simply letting sit.

Be safe though. wash any liquid off your hands if you come in contact and keep out of reach of children and pets!!

I have plenty of juice, so I'm probably going to let this order steep for awhile.

Last time I got some Backwoods Brew I didn't like any of it, and got rid of it.
That was before I heard of steeping, so this time, I'm going to let it steep and give it another chance.

But if I wind up liking any of it, and order more, I will give the hot water treatment a shot next time.
And THEN I can let you know if I have any issues.
