The coils are too expensive? One coil a week is the cost 1 cigarette a day in the UK.

OK.. so that's not really your point is it?

You just want to go rebuildable!! Go for it. Makes sense to me. :)
Although you are right I look at the price of coils and think they are expensive. I suppose it's hard to think about what you used to spend and compare it. Having said that these coils will cost them pennies to produce and like most companies it's the disposable parts that makes them the profits.

Get 30 gauge kanthal. May even want to get 32. Heats up much faster since you only have 20 watts. Vapor production will be somewhat limited with only 20 watts. And aspire coils are rebuildable. check out rip trippers video where he rebuilds the bvc. I am going to try rebuilding one today just for fun.

and this may seem controversial but I would rather see you vaping instead of smoking

Looks like a good setup. I started building coils with 24 gauge and only recently switched to 28. I run a mech mod and a Vamo V6 (20 watts) and 28 gauge is fine. In fact it kinda falls in the middle for good versatility. The only thing about your setup I would question is the cotton and that is just because I am unfamiliar with that company. Good organic Japanese cotton makes the best wick for RBA. But I did use sterile cotton balls when I first started and they worked ok.
