does pg have a taste and aftertaste?

I started vaping with 50/50 juice and last week switched to 80pg/20vg and I am tasting something other the flavoring on a new carto. Do you guys have any opinions regarding aftertaste. I can't identify the taste so Im assuming its PG. Im not a flavor snob but Im not liking this to much. Is VG a preferred juice?

Yes, for some PG can have an unpleasant taste, on the other hand for some VG can have an unpleasant taste.
