Does steeping juices make them thicker?

For the past six months, I have been exclusively using 510 xxl prepunched 2.0 ohm Boge cartomizers with 50/50 PG/VG juice. I am aware that steeping e-liquid will improve the flavor and throat hit, but I only recently started using this method. When I got some juices in the mail, I unwrapped a fresh carto, primed it, and filled the tank. Took a hit after some waiting, and the taste was a bit too chemical-y, however it wicked perfectly. So I decided I would finish the remaining juice in the tank while letting the bottle itself steep for a couple of days. Fast forward 2 days and a freshly filled tank later, I noticed that the the vapor was thin, bland, and there was more of a throat scratch than a hit. Do your juices get thicker after steeping? And if so, what PG/VG ratio would you recommend for thinner juice?

in all my carto, bcc, bcg, and iclear 30's i run 70%PG/30%VG and it's fine, when dripping or using rba's i usually go 60/40 or 50/50. However, when mixing a batch of juice (not 2 previously mixed juices) there will be a difference in taste after a couple of days...almost all liquids will be dang near clear when fresh if you dont use any colors, and that same bottle will turn quite a bit darker after several days. It isnt any thicker, but typically the darker it gets (the more it steeps) the more flavor you get out of it even though most taste good right away. Another thing to keep in mind is that the more VG your juice has in it the less your flavor will come through, VG has a sweet taste on its own but it doesn't carry flavor as well as PG does...good luck and happy vaping!

Steeping is a bit of a misnomer.
Aging would be more correct and if you don't Vape your juice all at once and have fresh delivered daily, it all ages.

Now, chemical Blending DOES take time.
Some simple flavors will Blend well within Hours. Single fruit favors, etc.
More Complex Flavors need more time for all components to balance out and stabilize.
Mixed fruits, a few days.
Dessert types, about a week.
Anything with a Bavarian Cream, 2 weeks works well
Tobaccos can take 2 - 6 weeks depending on composition.

The sharper flavor and More throat hit you are experiencing on day 1 is more likely Chemical BITE. Not a more dynamic taste but a Harshness that has not yet settled.
