Does the tank matter that much? Provari + Vivinova (I think)

I just bought this used and was told this was a vivinova, although it looks different from the vivinova's I looked up. It's set at 2.8ohm, I believe and I tried it at 4.5, 5, and 6 watts. At 5+ watts it just felt like warm air, but there is a lot of air when I am pulling and feels like more air and noise than actual vapor. And the vapor cloud isn't as big as I was expecting. I am using some juice that I was given, not sure from where, but it tastes kind of weak. It's green apple. But could it be the tank or the juice that is giving unsatisfactory results? I am sure I need to invest in a good tank. The ohms option hasn't made much sense to me yet, but have a feeling that may be what I need to learn about. Still unsure of what tank to get just yet, but that will be my next purchase. Here's a pic. I think it is supposed to have a new wick as well.

Well I am very new and I also started with the Provari. I have the Kanger Protank and I love it. Just fill real easy and vape it. It is pyrex so no issues with plastic cracking and you can use any juice. I like this tans so much I ordered a total of 5 of them so I can have them all loaded and I can switch from one flavor juice to another. They are real easy to clean and you can replace the wicks with not to much trouble as well. Makes a nice vapor and give a clean taste.

Not sure if the pic came out big enough... attempt 2

It doesn't look like your question was answered, or I missed it (sorry if I did and this is a duplicate). That's a vivi nova (or clone). It's the drip tip that is making it look like a Protank.

While some people love vivis, others find the flavor muted. It's pretty much the same with all vaping gear: you have to experiment to find what you like, regardless of what other people say. There are devices I like that other people don't and vice-versa.

Vivis are basically a top-coil clearomizer and have to be treated as such. They required tipping or twirling periodically to keep the wicks wet and juices with a high vg ratio don't wick very well, since it's a thicker juice trying to defy gravity. ;)
