a lot of the stardust style clearos leak. the best luck i had with not leaking is the Kanger T2 and the mini vivi nova.

If you really want to get your hands into this a good starter tank is the AGA-T, uses a stainless steel wick and you have to wrap your ownwicks and coils, it cannot be laid down on its side or it will leak out of the tank but the flavor and vapor is outstanding, and Is very good first step into genesis type rebuildable tanks (the best vape evaaa)

I have the same tank and have used the same coils for over 2 months. Did you try to dry burn it afte cleaning? Also I notice that depending on where you get your fluid you may have to clean more often. Just because it is black doesn't mean its done. This is usually due to the oils burning to the coil. That is why you have to dry burn the junk off so it vapes properly after cleaning. It stinks when you do it but after you have done it the head works like new. I got my tank at gotvapes and he has a video on how to properly clean this tank and the coils. It may be worth your while to check it out. Proper care for your tank will only extend the life of the components and save you money (eventhough the coils are cheap).
Where is the video, I cannot find one that explains dry burning.

Hmmm well it was months ago when i saw the video on cleaning a tank like this so I will just explain what i do. I make sure all is cleaned and rinsed well. I blot the wicks so they are almost dry with a paper towel. If you look at the coil and it has lots of black crap on it ( this is usually what makes your fluid get darker as you vape) you just put it back togather with the tip off. Then if you have manual ego battery you can just hold the button til it blinks and repeat a few times. If you are watching your coil it will start to smoke or have vapor that stinks coming from it. Repeat til the coil starts showing red. This is burning the junk off the coil and will allow it to make vapor easier and better when you reassemble it. A quick tip though. The coil makes the whole thing very warm when you do this so let it cool before putting fluid in because it will break down the oils if too hot. Also dont keep doing it after it is red when powering because you could damage it. Good luck I hope this helps.

There is a piece of metal in the silicone cap. The flat side of the metal should be down towards the battery. My heads last a month or two easily. It sounds like you are not wet burning it regularly and have a bunch of gunk built up on the coil.

i've heard of dry burning... what is wet burning? i mean... i checked after only 4-5 days and there was black on the coil already... what can i do?

On your last thing the liquid does not have to be below the line you can lay the tank down it will not hurt it at all in fact i store mine laying down full in my carry case.

Thank you, I too have wondered about this. I have mine in a toothbrush holder. Once in a great while I have forgotten and put it down. Now I won't worry. I love this forum!

hey karen... i know i heard once about those regular clearomizers.. like the stardust. i messaged them because mine leaked like crazy.. and they said that it has to stay upright or juice will get in through the top and go down the pipe to the battery connection. i think all tanks are different. but the ones like the vivinova are maybe built better. so that juice doesn't get down through the pipe. who knows. also, with those kind of clearomizers... the bottoms are all shifty, literally. my post was off kilter quite often. made putting the drip tip on a pain.. that's why i love the vivinova!! the bottom is solid and the post can't become off kilter.
