When I tell people I have quit smoking and get in to how vaping enabled me to do this, I always get asked how am I going to quit vaping. I have no desire to stop vaping and don't understand why both smokers and non-smokers alike assume I want to give it up all together. I was wondering if anyone else is constantly asked this rather annoying question.

I've heard that one too on a couple of occasions. I usually just mention I have no plans of quitting because nicotine is not a carcinogen, its the other chemicals I'm ridding myself of. Mention that nicotine occurs naturally in eggplant, tomatoes, cauliflower, etc, and that's usually the end of it. If not, pee yourself a little, they'll stop talking to ya.

I haven't yet...I teach college English and didn't start vaping til the end of the semester, so I haven't seen my regular smoking buds. I'm sure it's coming though. Vape loud and proud, friend.

It all falls back to the under-educated masses that have been brainwashed into believing that NICOTINE is bad and causes all kinds of disease. Even big tobacco companies want that lie to continue as it fits in their plans to monopolize the market.
Most that I have this conversation with stare at me dumbstruck when I suggest they Google Nicotine and Caffeine, compare the two and get back to me when they can find a reason why Nic Should be avoided (and not caffeine).

It is really annoying, but if you take a long hard vape the urge to whack them on the head with your APV will subside ;)

GrimmGreen actually has a video somewhere about "how long are we going to do this vaping thing"

-video link- HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO DO THIS VAPING THING? - YouTube

It sums up about how I feel on the subject. I'm sure someday I will stop, at least vape 0mg nic liquid anyways. But for now, I love this lifestyle.

I have zero desire to quit vaping or give up nicotine. Looking back, I started smoking, or at least continued to do it despite several almost successful attempts to quit, as self medication for some of the issues floating around in my head. Nicotine helps, significantly in some cases and at some times. Given it's not a carcinogen, and not nearly as harmful as ANY of the pharmaceuticals (some of which I've taken) prescribed to treat my issues... why would I quit.
