Does this seem like a good beginner setup?

I have never vaped before and I'm doing it as a hobby. I expect to vape lightly (around 150 hits a week/25-30 a day)

I was going to buy the Kanger EVOD starter kit (Kanger Evod Kit) with 2 replacement coil heads, and 30 ml e juice all from steammonkey.com

At my vaping rate, how long should this last me before I need more heads/juice?

Thanks

That will be an inexpensive way to get your foot into the door of vaping and see if vaping will work for you.

The 650 mAh hour battery should meet your requirements for what I would consider very light usage. I'd still recommend a second kit soon, as you'll need a backup for every piece of your gear. You don't want a reason to have to buy another pack of cigarettes should you not have a charged battery, have a battery that decides to not want to work, or a tank which decides to not work.

A pack per day smoker would probably consume 2 ml of juice a day. Coil heads should be replaced every 2 - 4 weeks.

Welcome to ECF :)
I sure wish I had started out with a kit for fifteen bucks. My first kit was from a smoke shop $35, which included a clearomizer, an eGo battery and charger in a eGo case. The Clearomizer is long gone, it wasn't rebuildable. Pick up a couple more 1.8 ohm heads, normally about 3 bucks in a brick and mortar store. Every refill take the one off your tank and soak it in a glass of water over night. The coils will last a long time. Watch a video on how to clean / burn the coil and with the small amount of vaping you do, what you have may actually last months. No need to rebuild the coil, just keep it clean.
Blessings and Joy on your new Journey,
Bliss

I enjoy the kanger evods. They are a nice and easy clearo and they have decent wicking and give a nice overall vape.

Check out the itaste VV as well. If you are going to be content with a clear (1.8ml capacity) also look into the iclear line. I don't vape clearos much but when I do I vape my iclear 16s.

Other than that, you are off to a great start!

that looks like a great deal as a light user beginner kit. As someone else said get 2 kits so you have back ups. I made that mistake when I first started vaping. I went 2 weeks without an analog cig and ran out of supplies and wound up buying a pack till my new order got in.

If you have any brick and mortar stores near you it is worth a visit in my opinion. I bought my starter kit from one and they were GREAT about asking questions about my habits, explaining my kit and helping me navigate juices. I haven't been tempted to buy cigarettes because anything I ran out of I could run by there and get.

Thank you all for the help! Also, one last question that might sound stupid, I was a very light smoker and quit but every now and then I do have a small craving for nicotine. Its nothing big and its not nearly as bad as before I quit. If I got 6mg nicotine in my juice, could that make my addiction worse and lead me to buy juice with larger and larger amounts of nicotine?

6 mg would probably be perfect for you. I don't think you'd have to worry about making your addiction worse. I went from 24 mg to 12 mg and I plan to drop again to 6 mg in the coming months. I've found it very easy to drop with no adverse cravings.

It's hard to say what will happen with any particular person, but most people seem to reduce their nicotine level as time goes on. If I were you, I think I'd try with no nicotine first. It's entirely possible that what you are craving is the behavior and not the nicotine, since you have been off of it for a while. You can find some vendors that will provide even less than 6 mg/ml, like 3. Or you could get a bottle of 6 and a bottle of 0 and mix them together for 3 mg/ml. But based on many anecdotal stories here, most people do end up reducing rather than increasing nicotine (unless they were heavy smokers and started too low).

Welcome new vaper! First, the Evod is a good starter and it's what many have used in the beginning. As others have said here, if your serious and can spend a bit more, get an authentic setup with a twist battery.
As for the danger of getting yourself hooked on nicotine again, well there's a good chance that will happen as nicotine IS highly addictive. My advice is to stay with 0 nic liquid and fight any cravings you still have.
