i have the doge clone rad on top of the ipv2 mini, i was wondering if there is any solution to my problem, right after i juice my wicks il get two solid tapes in and then it tastes burnt, il take the top off and my wicks are still almost completely soaked in juice, il add the tiny bit that i vaped and it will taste good again for the two tapes, is there anything i can do to correct this? its very annoying, thanks in advance!

Your wicks are to tighT or your running your mini2 to got not giving time for the juice to wick fast enough.

What power setting are you using? Maybe a lower power setting will help.

Mod might be set too to run too hot

What's the PG/VG ratio of your juice?
How much time between pulls...are you chain vaping or giving some time between pulls for the juice to get to the coils?

Either one is going to cause the coils to burn off the juice faster than it can get to them. Tight wicks are good when running high power but too tight and the juice wont wick properly.

I'll chime in here too and say - It's your wicks. They sound like they are either rolled to tight INSIDE the coil or too LOOSE inside the coil and too big of tails, therefore don't have enough (for lack of a better word this morning) "juice" to pull more juice into your wick as your vaping. There is a fine balance between too much and not enough and too tight and not tight enough. Play around with it a little, you get it figured out!!

Actually just sounds like not adding enough juice


Its not a tank, you drip a little vape it off, drip a little, vape it off, add a little bit more then just what the wicks can hold they are ment to feed juice to the coil from the deck not just be the juice holder

How many drips are you typically doing? Sounds like that would be the first thing I would look at. Not sure about your clone as I have an authentic doge, but I get 12 drips in mine easy. If you're sure your dripping enough, then I would check the density of your wicks. You could have used too much cotton, so they are a little tight.

Just outta curiosity, what's your build specs?

build specs are .5ohms 50watts, usually putting out around 5.5volts but they bounce around a lot which is another thread i started, but ya I'm positive I'm juicing enough i fill it till its basically running out and i have to wipe it off ha, but yes i think my wicks being to tight is the problem, bc like i mentioned earlier i try to fit as much cotton in my rda as i can in order to soak up as much juice as possible, so i will re wick it looser and see if that solves the problem, thanks for the feedback guys happy vaping!!

It sounds like your wick is too tightly packed . Just like it needs the ejuice, it also needs air! A good rule of thumb is to make sure you can slide the wick when u put it inside the coil. But at the same time you still want to have some resistance. Happy vaping!
