I smoked my last analog over two weeks ago. I didn't plan on it being my last one. I thought I'd just see how long I could go without buying a pack. One day turned to two, three, etc. A couple of days ago, I was cleaning out my car, getting rid of all the stray ashes covering everything and found an unopened pack that had falled down under the seat. For one split second, I thought "oh maybe I should keep this just in case". Then I thought, "No, don't need to" and into the trash bag it went. I think it was that moment that I realized that I really don't want to smoke regular cigarettes anymore. It was a very good feeling.

I still practice the pat down. Everytime I am getting ready to leave the house or car, I check my right front pocket. Now that is where I keep my tornado, used to be where I kept my smokes. This habit has changed somewhat over the last few weeks though, I have to check my right hip too, since that is where I have to keep my juice and tweezers. I still find myself reaching for my nonexistent lighter when someone asks for one though.

I haven't had an analog since May 18th of last year, but still carry an old (now very stale) pack in my car everywhere I go. I carried a lighter for the first 3-4 months until I decided I had almost lit my PV too many times.

Old habits truly die hard.

Hey there, neighbor!!! I'm out in Kenosha County! Just read your sig line, holy congrats!!

My goodies haven't arrived yet for me to make the switch but I have already started the purge of smoking accessories. It does aggravate me that I just bought an awesome cigarette case a couple months ago and I won't have a use for it. I'm hoping maybe the cartomizers will fit in it and I can still use. It does make me chuckle every time I see it. It's got a painting of a pretty woman and it says "My inner child is a mean little .......". Too awesome.

I was downtown, early, 20 minutes to kill before an appointment so I decided to clear my car of all lighters. I couldn't believe how many were stashed in there. Glovebox, the box between the seats (I don't know what that's called), under the seats, in the truck. Nearby was some poor homeless dude with a hat on the sidewalk. He was scrounging in the gutter for butts to empty into a zigzag. I dumped all the lighters into his hat. He looked at me like I'd just given him a month's stay in the royal suite at the Empress Hotel.
Just got back from a week vacation in Vancouver.
Spent a day in Victoria and had High Tea at the Empress.

Beautiful up there, maybe even moreso than San Diego, my hometown.
:)

Have you been to the Victoria Bug Zoo?
Gotta check it out if you haven't.
:D

Depending on how deep it is, you can carry cartos and bottles of liquid in it.

A couple of weeks ago I was at some office building and had about half an hour to kill. It was a gorgeous day so I went outside to vape. A couple of young women came out on their cig break and one asked me for a match. I said "I'm sorry, but I don't smoke any more." It was the best feeling ever!

hehe when I quit smoking for a couple years (the "meh" years) I became lax in my pat-down and would often drive across town without my phone or my wallet.

After I briefly took up smoking again, then quickly switched to vaping (yeah!) the pat down became a thorough affair, as before. I don't leave home without the essentials!
