Sunday is Mother's day..send flowers buy a card spring for dinner..something people..ok?
She put up with you..saw you through chicken pox, measles and that awful hair cut. She cooked, cleaned and did laundry...and even if it wasn't up to Your standard..she made an effort.
If it's your wife we are taking about..if you ever want a nice meal again make an effort! Those kids didn't drive themselves to school you know! Besides Father's day is jst around the corner.

+1 MK...I talk to my mom on the phone almost every day. She's turning 80 in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to figure out a way to get home to Texas and surprise her.

I sent my mom 2 dozen roses which arrived this afternoon. I have a very short time frame to try to call tomorrow, but I will try to set aside a few minutes while I am at work to give her a call. I hope to be able to go see her in a week or two.

We are taking my mom out for dinner tonight! We left some flowers for my dh's mom, but she wasn't home. Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies here, including myself! Proud mamma to two adorable boys!

I took care of my Mom for the last year and a half of her life. I would NOT change a thing in doing so. To me, it was a privilege to do so.
My son called about late this morning, saying he was filling his car with fuel and would be on his way over to take me to dinner tonight, but he would need to leave tomorrow! (He lives in another state) I was so surprised and happy, but I am coming down with a nasty cold AND I know he is running low on funds. After chatting for a bit, with both of us wondering what we should really do (he is getting over a nasty cold and doesn't want another ) I finally said, "I am your Mom, I am making the decision to postpone our get together until we both feel better and have some extra cash". He thanked me for understanding and not allowing him to feel guilty after I mentioned the money situation. We got a good laugh out of that.
Just the thought of him wanting to drive over here for 24 hours is more than worth it in my mind. I LOVE MY SON. lol

Well, I called my mum, she asked why I was yelling, she was sitting right across from me.

Bonus this year is I found the cards I bought 2 years ago during UK Mother's day in March to put aside for May US Mother's day!!

For the mum's in the family... Happy Mother's Day!! (wish there was a step-mum day sometimes)

My hubby took me to my favorite store today! Home Depot. I got lots of plants and dirt! Tomorrow my kids are coming for a hotdog and hamburger cook out. The guys cook..daughter and I are relaxing with sangria!

I watch the flowers we get in at work very carefully. Then pick the best of the bunch for her. I may not get along well with her, but she is still mom and that counts for a lot.

Hey that's where I work. I am a millwork specialist there. I would love to have you as a customer. I bet you don't even ask them to clean the bags of dirt for you!(seriously people demand this all the time).
