Hey guys issues involving this new mod. I know cause mini arrived 2 days ago. (evolv dna vt40).. glitches in reading resistance in ohms on screen. No Bull.. I was waiting 2 weeks, already paid in advance. I had also read in another forum someone had the same issue . did my own testing with new coils from Kanger and cleaning tanks to be sure it's the mod. It was problematic with Kanger occ ni200 coils ( . 15 ohms).. Would not give accurate reading.. Which caused temperature warnings at random.
Sorry but I was hoping for a great vap experience, only to have problems.

Atty lock on the DNA40 means that it locks in the initial resistance of the coil it's being set on. What that means is that, for example, the premade coils stay at that resistance despite its changes in the ohm readings. It is common to see your ohms jump +-.1 ohm when using such coils (only used Atlantis ni coils, btw). Besides this the Kanger coils we're notorious for having an apparent hot leg issue since one leg is much longer then the other. So I believe that's why you frequently get "Temp Protection" flashing up randomly/frequently.

Edit: Temperature Control is quite finicky and requires a solid connection for the nickel wire. With a loose connection it will cause the frequent rise and fall of ohms. At that point TC will get wonky. Premades do cause this but not dramatically. Attempt a build of your own and check it from there.

Because it works fine!

Few things:

1. just like @Shigura says: Ni200 needs good connection (if u r new with this stuff, just go for premade OCC Ni200 - u cant go wrong)
2. VT40 is build on last and best DNA40 Gold chip revision (screen glithes have nothing to do with proper working of device)
3. build quality is same or even better than SX Mini
4. it just gets PRICE DROP (VT200 premiere)

Conclusion?

If u r satisfied with 40W - go for it. If u would like to have ''power reserve'' for dual or quad builds - go for bigger brother VT200. ;)

I am glad to hear they worked on the female 510 threading on the device(vt40)(Efft3344)..I had to return mine. It was all aluminum with with some brass coating or something . The threads were soft after a week and a half. Finally couldnt get an atty to thread at all. I hope yours is Stainless. I did get store credit for the return(which was cool). Bought the sx mini with a little extra cash. I did like the build of the vt40.. Its quite solid.
