They're the same device, 2 different vendors. Aside from the difference in the box, one comes with attys and cartridges, the other comes with cartomizers. When I ordered mine I wanted more color choices so I wasn't concerned about the cartridges. You're going to need extra cartomizers anyway, so you'll be ordering these as well. If the top picture (I believe this one has the cartomizers) comes in the color you want go for it.

The Kgo is a great device. I'd recommend getting some LR cartos and attys for it.

Never had a kgo, but the ego is a great device. i recently ordered the ego c twist which has a dial to switch from 3.2 to 4.8 volts. i havent got it yet but my ego t passthrough is awesome.

They're both the same. The one on the top has cartridges. You can tell because they little plastic "condoms" are flat on one side and there is only one per cartridge. Those cartridges are pretty useless. You're going to want cartomizers instead. You should get whichever version is the best deal, including at least 5 cartomizers. Then, its a good idea to get 5 more. 2.0-2.5 ohm Boges are what you want.
