With the recent issues that I have had with my PV, just wanted to make sure that everyone here knows that if you are having issues with juice coming out of the mouthpiece or other parts of the PV, know that maybe you are sucking too hard on the PV!

I was taking long inhales but I was still sucking too hard. If you do it right, it really doesn't require hitting it that hard! At first people thought that I was overfilling the cart, which I may have been for a while, but even after that I had problems. So check to see about that first and also think about the way that you are hitting the PV!

Some issues may be technical issues, but also think that maybe (especially if you are new like I am!) you may be doing it wrong. I think that I was hitting it too hard because it seems like in those videos that I see of people reviewing PVs that the men doing those videos seem like they are sucking on the PV very hard, especially when you see their cheeks sink in so much while they are taking a hit. But apparently they aren't sucking as much as you think they are!

I hope that this can help someone out there that had my mistake and isn't sure about what it going on!

As you say Superstargoddess I think the videos can sometimes be misleading to newbies? On the videos am sure 99% of the time the people take as much of a draw as is humanly possible just to get more vapour on screen :D

When you vape normaly I anyhow don`t inhale for this length of time or until I turn blue ha-ha!

Yes, I hope to be making my own videos as soon as I can get a webcam! I know that my face doesn't look like that when I do it, but it's hard to explain what it looks like. But I tell you what, it does look like the insides of their cheeks are touching! (No offense to you guys, I love your videos, very informative)

But yes, maybe they are just doing that to get as much vape as possible to show people what the PV is capable of.

I still seem to be getting not quite as good battery time as I was, which may be related to how I was overdoing it there for a while. Not sure if oversucking can weaken the battery or if the battery takes the same amount of power just from holding the button down no matter how hard you try to hit it. Or maybe I am just hitting it more often than I originally was. I hope that someone can answer that, I'm starting to get worried.

If you're taking a 'mouth drag' and not a straight inhale, your cheeks will hollow out as your jaw drops....but yeah, it *does* sorta look like they're sucking their eyeballs out, doesn't it?

I actually mouth drag, I don't inhale it right down my throat. Not sure how I do it that makes it look differently.

I found the perfect solution for juice in the mouth. I cut a small piece of fluval (poly will work) in the bottom of the cart and then fill the cart with material. Topping off takes care of the top part and the bottom part stops any overflow.

Nice smooth drag and I can draw as long as I want. It also helps to wick the juice properly on to the wick, so I get a totally white (wicked out) cart to refill.

No more squeezing juice out of carts on refill day, unless the cart material is just spent and I put it in my used cart bottle.

Well, it was my user error that caused the problem in the first place, and I am not afraid to admit that. Thanks for the tip though!

I am new to this, and am frankly a bit concerned about the effort required to smoke ecigs, especially from the youtube videos it seems your cheekbones could start aching after a number of drags and worse you would get hollow cheeks if you do this on a regular basis. Of course since I haven't received my kit yet, I may be wrong, but those videos and the effort folks have to put to take a single drag are worrying.

No worries mate, it's not all that hard. Pretty normal really. I had no issues with the transition from analogues. As was mentioned I think it may be due to trying to show it on video. (Vapour/smoke/fog doesn't necessarily show up well on camera- just ask Ridley Scott*) You do not have to try to imploded your skull to vape. It'll be about the same as your used to. The variables will be the model(s) you use, and your (soon-to-be ;)) old habit for inhaling. It can be a little bit different, but depending on model and previous habits, it might take a whole 10 minutes to adjust. Ultimately, don't worry about it. Dive in, the vapour's fine.

Now as to this thread topic and certain quotes as presented by the OP......

And that's UNBELIEVABLY tough given I'm a bit buzzed, love redheads, and will be in Ohio next week...........

But I know when I have to behave.

*PS: For anyone who got the Ridley Scott reference, 10 useless points.

PPS: Sigourney Weaver had an allergic reaction to the glycerin they used to make her look all sweaty.

Once you get the method down it is easy as pie. When I first started I tried smoking it like I smoke normal cigarette (everyone smokes them differently). I took a short, hard, 1-2 second drag. Needless to say I got some juice in the mouth and not much vapor. And I also realized that if I took a looooong 6-8 second drag the atty got too hot and "burned" the juice (yuk). I find a 4-5 second "mouth drag" works best for me and the model I have. Once you teach yourself how to do it right (only takes a day or two) it becomes second nature.

Really, you don't have to hit it too hard, that's what this thread is about. For me, I was a "light puff" smoker and my friends often made fun of me for it. :p For me, I do have to take a long and slow drag, which is not what I did on analogs. But for someone who smoked with long steady drags, this should be second nature to them.

With my 510, i don't really have a choice but to suck hard. A full cartridge will only give me 3-4 good drags, then from there almost no vapor and it tastes like metal. After the 3-4 drags the only way to get good, tastey vapor is to suck as hard as i can. I'd direct drip instead, but 2 drops only lasts about 3 drags, and it burns the crap out of my throat. Both the atomizers that came with the kit are the same, so i dunno what's up.
