Door too tight..

The door on my mini woodvill is so tight it is hard to remove. Once off, it is too tight to put back on. Most of the time I use it without the door.
Am I supposed to be using something to "oil" it, or has the wood somehow just expanded?

Wait and see what Rob says. I would think some sanding in critical areas would help.....

In high humidity the wood might swell and cause the door to get tight. My Mini Woodvil door is very snug also.
Rob did a video and showed how to sand a little to make the door slide better :

Your door is maple and humid weather will cause the wood to swell .If your not comfortable sanding the edges of the door your self you can send it to me .If you no anyone with wood working abilities its & easy fix a piece of sand paper on a flat surface and lightly sand the edge of the door .Skip to 321 in the video I show in the video how to sand the door

I was without A/C for 4 days, and we've got over 90% humidity. So my oak door got little tight. I took it down a tiny bit with an emery board flat on a table. Worked great.

I prefer tight myself .... Doors that is. I don't think I even need the magnet on my mini woodvil.
Nice to know if it changes over time I can take it down a touch with some fine grit paper and a piece of glass.

If the door gets stuck on so tight you can't get it off or afraid you might damage it put it in fridge overnight and the wood should shrink up enough to slide off pretty easily. We had to do that with a Figured Redwood Mini Woodvil and it worked great.

On a similar note, if you need to get stickers of cartomizers for any reason (tank mod)
Pop them in the freezer for a couple of hours ..... the stickers come right off.

Cold seems to work well with making tight things shrink. That is good to remember!!
