IMO the watermelon was fine in regular strength. I haven't had the green apple because I don't really like them in real life so I figure why bother with it in a liquid. All of the MFS liquids really have a good flavor but yes, some people prefer to double some flavors. Taste is so subjective. You might want to give the sampler pack a try. If you don't like what you've ordered we have a thread going where people are trading liquids.

I always get the double flavor because they taste great to me. The only one I've gotten so far that I may order again in a regular strength is the blackberry because the flavor is so intense and yummy. It's one of my favorites but I think I'd still like it in regular strength, so I'm going to give it a try.

All of the rest of my MFS faves (keoke coffee, english toffee, maple, honey, and pecan) I've only ever tried in double flavor. They're all really, really good.

Practically every flavor I order from MFS is in Extra-Flavor/Double Flavor. On the extremely few occasions when the flavors in XF/DF is a bit much, I dose it down with VG-PG to lighten the flavor a bit; however, I have been ordering from Chris practically since shortly after July 7th, 2009. I haven't ran across many flavors are are too much in the extra/double flavors I didn't like.

That being said, I did receive one order of double-strength cherry that was a bit much at the time although, I honestly believe the ONLY reason it tasted as if it was a bit too flavor-strong is b/c I'd been vaping extra-strength/double-strength cherry for a few months prior & it was time to switch to a new flavor before going back to my previous favorite.

Out of all the flavors I've ordered from MFS (and there's many of them, 99.9999% are extra/double-strength flavor), my favorites include Juicy Peach, Cotton Candy, Marshmallow, Blueberry, Blackberry, Cherry, & Sweet Apple.

This isn't to say I don't love others b/c I do but the above listed flavors are my absolute favorites. I've even gone so far as to order the Juicy Peach, Cotton Candy, & Marshmallow in 60ml to 60ml + sizes w/o the nicotine nic-quid so I could simply add the nic-quid to the flavoring later because I learned to switch flavors about throughout the months. I feared that if I ordered in that large of a bulk already mixed w/nicotine liquid it might not hold the flavor I love so much. Either way, I'm hooked on MFS flavors, especially the extra/double-strength flavors. I am even learning to mix flavors a bit; however, I must bow to the master of e-liquid because my mixes do NOT turn out as well as what Chris mixes up in his magic e-liquid lab. I've come close yet not close enough to win the ultimate "cigar" as they say.

If I had to recommend ANY e-liquid store out of all the ones I've tried, My Freedom Smokes would win hands down. I even give out MFS business cards! It never fails if I'm uptown or out and about with my e-cigarette I have somebody come up to me asking about it and the flavors to use in it. I keep Chris' cards on me so I can give them out.

Recently, I even had one of my youngest daughter's friends ask me about my e-cigarettes because her grandmother wanted to try the e-cigarettes but she had no idea where to start or who had the best liquids or e-cigarette kits. Some of the grandmother's friends and more of the young girl's family were interested in them as well so I made a special point of getting business cards from MFS to those who wanted to give it a try and I even told them about my personal experiences with the e-cigs in general and MFS flavors in specific along with the fact that my own doctors can't tell if I am still using the e-cigs w/ e-liquid b/c the smoker's cough is gone; I don't have the wheezing in my chest; the crackles, franks, and thrills are gone too. Unless one of my doctors sees me with an e-cig, they can't tell if I am vaping the e-cigarettes with e-liquid.

On an odd note here, it started with one doctor then later I heard it from others along the way as the crackles, franks, and smoker's cough disappeared... My doctors all have told me at one time or another that they wish their smoking patients would switch from traditional analog tobacco cigarettes to e-cigarettes. Even my chest x-rays, as it relates to the years of my smoking analog cigarettes, are beginning to clear up nicely. Sure, some of the damage will likely never go away because I have lupus and Sjogren's disease (autoimmune diseases); hwr, the fact they are clearing up has to mean that there is some good coming from the switch from analogs to e-cigarettes!

I wonder if I should celebrate this coming July 7th? It will be one year since I began using the e-cigarettes and a day that started one of the greatest changes in my life... I have no idea how to begin to celebrate that kind of change in life and all its brought with it. I can say that I owe a great deal of thanks to Chris at My Freedom Smokes. His delicious flavors mixed up at his store is a large part of what prevented me from going back to analog cigarettes b/c the flavors held my attentions away from analogs and the nicotine helped kill the cravings for analog cigarettes. I guess that is why I have such respect for the man and his business and it is why I will continue to be a patron of his store. ---- Thanks Chris.... You deserve a fair amount of credit for keeping me on the wagon...

Is it worth getting double

flavor?

A few people on this forum have said it was too much in certain flavors, but has anyone tried it or have an opinion on doubling the fruit flavors? Was looking at possibly doing it for Watermelon and Green Apple.

I was just about to start a thread about this so I'm glad I saw this one. After trying many places, I agree MFS is the best juice around. Insane. Now here's my issue. Sometimes the more vapor I get, the less taste I get (has anyone noticed that?). So I'm thinking of doubling my flavor next time. I figure under normal circumstances, I'll get a little more flavor which would be nice, and if I'm running hot and getting less flavor and more vapor, I'll still be good to go in the flavor department. Not sure if that makes sense. Now onto my question. If more flavor is added, I assume something else is being taken away. If I add more flavor, will I lose nicotine or vapor production? Thanks!

Yes you should celebrate the one year mark. That is a huge milestone for a smoker! I celebrated mine by buying some more of my favorite liquid, which just happens to be MFS cappuccino. You are doing great! Enjoy your victory!

Having the double flavor won't leave anything out or make the mix weaker. Chris knows how to mix to get the optimal blend of everything. If you want more vapor, ask him to add just a little more VG to it. When I mix or cut I use an 80/20 PG/VG mix and it makes tons of vapor.

Sorry it's taken so long to respond to this post.

For starters, I have been a customer of MFS for nearly, if not a full year now and I recently hit the 1-year-mark of being off analog cigarettes too!

As for the extra strength in the e-liquid, I haven't notice anything missing. It's simply more flavor with the same amount of vapor, same nicotine levels, and it isn't watered down or anything. It's just simply more of a great thing.

Short of Chris closing his doors, heavens forbid the thought, I will always purchase my e-liquids from his store. If he should close his doors, I'm sure I'd find a way to where he is at and stand outside pleading my heart out for him to at least continue to mix my e-liquids as I have yet to find anyone who can mix in extra flavor and actually get extra flavor without compromising on anything else.

If you order 24mg nicotine level e-liquid with extra flavoring and vapor, you get 24mg nicotine level with extra flavoring and vapor. The same is true if you order 36mg nicotine level e-liquid with extra flavoring and vapor, you will get what you order. Chris' e-liquid with extra flavor does not diminish the vapor production, water down the flavoring, nor does it compromise the vapor. It is exactly what it should be and I should know considering how long I've been a customer and a fan not to mention an advocate for his products. If you want to know one thing about me know this... If I find a supplier/store that makes an excellent product, I will be the first one to send others in that direction because I commend and compliment high quality and I share my resources when I find such high quality product. The only thing that equals Chris at MFS' quality of product is his quality of service! They walk hand in hand.

It is a simple as it can be. My freedom Smokes sells high quality products and Mr. Chris stands behind his products and behind the quality name that My Freedom Smokes has come to represent. I won't apologize for being a cheerleader for a company that can get the job done, get it done right, and stand behind the products it puts out as well as going that extra mile to make the customer feel welcome and happy so they will return again by keeping the lines of communications open if a problem arises and by keeping up the high quality standards of the company's products.

I've sent teachers, doctors, nurses, parents, business execs, and so many others to MFS that I've lost count. My own personal doctor is pleased with the progress of my lungs and my health since switching over from analogs to e-liquid. I was even able to share MFS business with my doctor's vacation doc replacement. She had never heard of E-cigs. After I asked her to make a note for my regular doctor upon his return to let him know I'd made my 1st year mark of being analog cigarette free, she asked what the analog cigarettes were so I explained the difference between analogs and e-cigs and then showed her how the e-cigs work including the ingredients. She asked to listen to my lungs a second time because upon her initial exam, I did NOT have the lungs of a smoker. The fact that e-liquid doesn't cause the smoker's cough and croupy lung sounds with the Snap, Crackle, and Pop along with wheeze and wheeze, it amazed her completely.

I shared the web addresses of my online haunts including MFS and this website. I hope she does her own research and makes her clients aware that there is an alternative out here that can save them from the feeling like crap after being on analogs for so long. I even told her how I spent about 2 weeks coughing up what felt like an entire lung but afterward, I felt wonderful - a little sore like I'd bruised my insides but I felt great. That just grew the longer I went without analogs!

Just so you know, I have a confession to make. Sure, it is going to sound rather horrible but I hope that perhaps others will learn from my experiment.

A little over my 1st full year without an analog cigarette, I chose to try to take a drag from an analog Virginia Slims full flavor, which is what I smoked before going to the e-cigs. That first drag was like smoking from virgin lungs! I coughed, my chest felt heavy, and the analog cigarette smell was literally revolting to me! It was the same with the manner in which the analog cigarette smoke made my mouth taste and feel too. It was terrible. I had to brush my teeth and use a couple of swishes of mouth wash in hopes of getting that cruddy taste out of my mouth.

In that small drag, I literally began to feel ill, physically ill. That's the only way I can describe it. So, as it stands now, there is no way I will go back to analog cigarettes because after being away from them for over a year, I guess you really can't go home again after getting off the analogs because the smell, taste, and desire for the 4000+ cancer-causing disgusting analog habit just isn't worth it, especially when a cleaner, safer, and less expensive alternative is available that doesn't make one feel sick all the time.

I hope this helps others both with choosing e-cigs over analogs and finding a great supplier in My Freedom Smokes as well as figuring out that going back to analogs is no answer and it causes more harm in both the short-term and the long-term that it's not worth it. If you have to have the nicotine, at least get it safely mixed and without all the harmful things in analogs.

Thanks for listening...
