Hey all, first off. Greatings from Haliburton County. And thanks for.the info.ive been able.to get so far.

So I've purchased myself a vaperesso Nebula. Along with 2x 26650 LI MN batteries 3000mah, 2x Joyetech Ultimo tanks and the Veco One Plus tank that came with the kit. I also grabbed an LCD charger for safely charging my B/u battery.

Also got some juices. Some seem to be improving as the days go by, I wasn't to happy with the Hooligan juices but they seem.to be improving them with more contact to oxygen (steeping? Apperently it's a thing. I thought I was crazy till I looked it up.

I can't seem to actually inhale anything vaped about 20w. But maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Few questions.
1- making sure I'm not dry hitting or flooding things, what are the signs to watch out for
2- best way to maximize my flavour
3- any safety concerns I should be aware of. Been careful to get the right batteries/charger etc.

Shout out to CanVape for the fast shipping time! I don't know how you got everything in the bubble mailer but you did. I had it the next day, I was happy about that.

Aside from that. I've smoked 5 cigarettes in the last 2 days. So it's certainly doing the trick!

Welcome, SublimeHaze. Sounds like you're well on your way to cutting out the cigs entirely.

I can't think of any warning signs before flooding. You just get an annoying gurgling sound and a weak vape.

For dry hitting, the warning signs that you're vaping too fast for your coil + juice are that the vape generally gets weaker as there's less juice to vaporize. It might get a bit hotter too. If you actually dry hit there's no question about it. Instead of a nice vape you get a lungful of acrid smoke. Not pleasant.

To get the best flavour, you'll need to try out different tanks, coils and power settings. Sometimes different setups are better for different juices, so experiment a bit. Flavour chasers generally like lower airflow than cloud chasers so the vapour is less diluted. Another note is that PG carries flavour more than VG so you might prefer lower VG juices.

Always be kind to your batteries. A battery should be in your mod, your charger or a case. Never leave a battery loose, and never use a battery with a damaged wrap. 18650s tend to be more reliable than 26650s (provided you've got the right 18650s) because you can get brand name (LG, Samsung or Sony) 18650s while all the 26650s are rewraps. That means they could change what's under the wrap at any time, so you can't be sure even Mooch's tests accurately reflect your battery's specs. As you've done some research you've probably already found his blog, but in case you haven't here's everything you want to know about batteries:

Mooch's blog | E-Cigarette Forum

Steeping juice can certainly improve it, but there can also be too much of a good thing. Oxygen contact speeds up nicotine breakdown, so giving your juices too much exposure to air can affect the taste and nic content.

There's nothing wrong with staying under 20w (although you'll find that number different for each coil type). The key is finding the best wattage for each coil. Start well below the recommended coil setting and work your way up until you find your sweet spot.

I hope you can find something helpful in this essay. In any case, welcome and good luck!

You have a nice mod and nice tanks so that's a good start. You aren't going to flood or dry hit anything with the tanks you have as long as you make sure they are well stocked on juice so the coil doesn't dry out. You'll probably find you will maximize the flavor by finding the right wattage for the particular coil you are using. You should look into the suggested ranges for your coils and try to stay within those ranges. Airflow will also have an effect on flavor so you can experiment with closing and opening the airflow on your tank to get the draw you like. Basic safety concerns: Use the charger that came with your mod, do not use a phone charger. Make sure you are operating your mod/coils within the range they are supposed to be used at, don't vape a 30-60 watt coil at 100 watts. Make sure you are using the correct mode for the coil you have chosen -- which for you will probably always be wattage mode -- however, if you are using a Ni coil MAKE SURE you are using it in the Ni mode, same goes for SS exc. I'm pretty new too so I'm sure others can offer more in depth advice.

In terms of not being able to inhale anything in the 20 watt range, that is a pretty low wattage. The Veco tank coils fire within the 40-75 range depending on the coil so at 20 watts you probably aren't getting much flavor or vapor production.

Just to clarify a few things...

You should look into the suggested ranges for your coils and try to stay within those ranges.

There's nothing wrong with vaping below the recommended ranges. They're often exaggerated because manufacturers think everyone wants high power. You can go over the range too, but that can kill the coil off more quickly.

Basic safety concerns: Use the charger that came with your mod, do not use a phone charger.

With replaceable battery mods, it's generally recommended to use an external charger rather than charging in the mod, especially for multiple battery mods.

Make sure you are using the correct mode for the coil you have chosen -- which for you will probably always be wattage mode -- however, if you are using a Ni coil MAKE SURE you are using it in the Ni mode, same goes for SS exc.

Absolutely correct about the nickel - it and titanium should only ever be used in Temperature Control (TC) mode. SS can be used in TC or power mode. If you are using TC, make sure you have the proper setting for your coil type.

Thanks! Seems I'm on the right track!

The extra wattage on the Veco does help the flavour.

I was just planning to leave the bottle uncapped overnight and keep it sealed from there.

Yup, you're off to a good start. Uncapping the bottle the bottle overnight sounds fine.

The first overnight I keep the lid and tip off, shaking a couple of times, then recap and into a dark draw or box.

I shake before filling my tank, too. A juice bottle sitting in a dark place for a while will need a good shaking.

The ARE some flavors that are good, even just overnight with shaking, but I just got into the same habit with all juices.

Fruits need little steeping. I just got into one habit and continued with it.

Over powering is the main culprit in spoiling many new vapers experience. They buy this fancy 200watt hitter and ultra low ohm coils then try to use them at the recommended settings and usually failure follows close then wonder why, why, why. I vape .4ohm right up to 1.6ohm coils, single wire builds, twisted wire and claptons. I can barely count on 1 hand how many times I've gone over 30 watts. I have built a nasty low ohm coil turned my IStick100 to 80 watts and gave er a rip just to burn my throat and the build. I just don't know how people vape at such high power levels and have a enjoyable vape.

Sounds like you're off to a good start. I usually have a general idea of what the low end of power for a certain ohms is & start there then go up by 5-10 watts until I find a good spot. Usually once it gets hot or starts losing flavor I go down a little bit but it really depends on the tank & to a lesser extent the mod.
