It shows output voltage. Over the firing it will actually show the drop as well, so say I fire it and it displays 3.88, when I release the butting it will show what the voltage was at that point, say like 3.46 or something.

The back door or battery door is held in place by firm magnets and it has a slight recess on the bottom of the mod that allows easy removal of the battery door.
