Back in December, I asked people on this forum to explain to me why I would want to use VV/W. I got some great answers, and I needed to try it out for myself. I did. It's not for me, but I'm glad I tried it out so now I know what my sweet spot is.
I'm currently using a 14500 home made mod, slightly modded v1 diver, 3ohm coil, bamboo wick in a SL 15mm ibtanked. I change batteries and refill once a day.
I feel like I'm the only person out there who's tried bigger and stronger and decided... nah... not for me. I like 5-6w.

I managed fine w/ M403 which makes 14500 look like a big stoggie.
I switched to 18350/CE2 when my vendor stopped selling M403.
I started playing with 18650 when CE2 became unavailable.
I'm getting more vapor but quadrupled juice consumption.
I still use 18350 quite a bit.
I could go back to ultrasmall batts but it may take a month to adjust.

What happened for me is I got more vapor when I was playing with higher power and bigger batteries, but I had to drop my nicotine level way down because it got super harsh for me. And yea, I was using more juice at a lower nic level. I think that's the same as you.

Dude! Choc_Addic, I spent half the morning eyeing that same thing. :p I've been thinking about buying it for months, and I might just go ahead and order it now that I've sold off some of my bigger items.
It's about as tall as my 350mah ego. $4.49 eGo 350mAh Rechargeable Mini Battery for E-Cigarette - black at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
For me, the pt2 mini is too tall at 75mm. I'm rocking a 15x35mm cartotank, but for the novice... I don't know.

Would you have a writeup of your home made mode?

I've been eye-ing this little mod.... What do you think?

pair that with mini pt2............

Hmmmm where is my paycheck...

Cheers

I've been thinking about 18350 as well. I already have the batteries for 14500, but it's easier to find good atomizers in the 22-23mm size.

Heh. After my Sigelei fiasco I'm back to my trusty 18350 mech mod. Two batteries a day tops. My Zmax mini ate at least 5. I'm vaping at about 2.2ohms now, some heavy nic and 70% PG. I get tons of throat hit with only 2 second draws on an Evod.

There are just times when you can't beat simplicity.

There's nothing wrong with that. Up until really recently, I used a single-voltage device (3.6 V) with 1,300 mAh of battery life.

OK, I graduated to a Spinner because I got them on sale. I do like them...but I keep them set at 3.7 V (which feels the same as 3.6 on the other device). There's no fiddling in this house, it's set and that's that. It's nice to know the higher voltage is there if I need or want it, but I don't currently need or want it.

So you're hardly the only unicorn. Heck, my batteries aren't even removable...but if I could find the same size and convenience in a mod, I'd buy it.

I use a Reo 14500 Mini for out and about, but for the sake of this discussion I don't think the price on those is in line what what you are shooting for. The 14500 version is no longer made, but they do show up on the classified on occasion.

It all comes down to finding the right device of choice with a 14500 battery and it sounds like you figured that out. That, and knowing and respecting the Amp limits of a 14500 battery.

One of my favorite vaping thingys is still the VV Varicool 14500 box mods that SmokTek used to make. Of course that's a whopper using two 14500 batteries (lol) but those boxes have some amazing performance in a pocket friendly size. Still kinda annoyed with SmokTek dropping them with no warning.

I could be wrong about this, and that would be cool if i was but I don't think I am, but I think this mod is a hybrid therefore it does not have 510 connection and only that atty works on it.

It is designed like an hybrid but read the reviews as it also has 510 connection and it function as regular mod.

That's why it's in my cart.

Cheers

I guess you are right about that. I was sure that when i looked at it before there were not pictures showing the 510 connection though. It was a while ago when i looked at this product but that was the reason I did not buy it. I wonder if there was another version. Anyway, that's good to know.
