Drilled out Triton RTA

Well ol' Rip was right this thing sucks with high VG juice so I drilled it out with a 1/8th bit to see if it helps. If not, I'm going wider. I'll keep ya posted

Still getting some dry hits, I think I have to go a bit wider. I'm going to use a dremel with a carbide bit this time. To be honest I'm not a big fan of this style of rba

thanks for the heads up - yeah, was really curious why they chose that particular build style/ format - seemed a bit less than user friendly... hell, might be easier to rebuild the vertical coils, lol

Dude, why go to all the hassle? Just switch to a less thick juice, say 30PG/70VG...or even 50/50. Plenty of great juices in those ratios. Not all subtank coils wick high vg juices that well, and you might find the flavor improves with a little more pg anyway. Just sayin.

70% vg is about as low a vg percentage as I want to vape, personally - just not that fond of the vape with higher PG percentages

Same here. Once you vape 70+ VG it's hard to go back. I don't know about anyone else but I find anything lower is way to rough to vape

Well I made it a little bigger with the dremel. In gonna try a vertical coil and see if it works and better. If not I'm gonna have a Triton for sale[emoji19]

Some people have allergies, mild or major. Others just prefer the smoothness of vg. Personally I wouldn't vape anything lower than 70vg because the added pg adds throat hit and a harshness that I don't like.

Actually it is easier to rebuild it in vertical format. If your using TC going with a vertical coil is almost the only way to get enough windings in there. (there ain't much room!)

I wouldn't even bother trying to fix this as an RTA tank. I would have just bought an RTA tank. The coil is so terrible to use for rebuilding IMO. They should just release a better tank with a better rba section for people who want to make different coils. 26, 24, gauge kanthal. I would just buy coils for thai tank. And they sell the crap part separate. Then Kanger who i adore as a brand makes a better rba section and adds it to their package. Same with Uwel Crown tank ,they should add the RBA section to the package for a better product. And stop ripping us off. Aspire. Cmon with this weird .....

I haven't tried using the Triton RBA yet, but I have built a coil in it. Made a vertical coil with a 26 gauge ni200 wire, 12 wraps, 3.5 mm diameter and then wrapped in Japanese organic cotton. Coil measured out to be 0.18 ohms.

I haven't tried it yet. Waiting for the stock coil to die first. When I checked it on my ohm meter, the resistance didn't jump at all. Besides, if I use it on my Sigelei 75TC, it wouldn't matter since you have to manually trigger the resistance detection and it will never vary from that. So in that sense, it would be immune from the jumping problem.

Drilled out a triton rta today. Looks like that guys second pic. I tried to expand the hole but ended up with a u shape. So far so good. 28 gauge 6 wrap 3mm diameter vertical coil at .11 ohms.

I tried to drill 2 extra holes but need stronger bits to get through this casing. Made a small divot but didn't get through. I've only built nickel coils in the rta. 30 gauge snaps the wire but 28 gauge works great.

First coil leaked. Second one I pushed the cotton up more into the holes and it's been good.

Triton rta is the easiest for vertical coils I've been able to find. Use them in a triton and a saucecode tank.

There are 3 quick and easy solutions to the Trition RBA debacle:

1. Just build it as a vert coil - much easier, more air flow and coil whats not to like?
2. Get some Anyvape RBA's instead - tiny Horiz coils - similar to STM RBA but smaller
3. Rebuild the Atlantis Atomizers - very easy to swap out

I think the Triton and its sucky RBA was one of my least favorite purchases to date.
