I started on Friday and the SEC championship game"WAR EAGLE" was the next night. I was worried that the vape wouldn't cut it but to my surprise it did. Cold beer in one hand, "vapacifier" in the other. The first time in years I didn't wake up with a cig hangover on top of an alcohol hangover. Leave the logs at home and vape hard. YOU GOT THIS!!!

That was my toughest time the first couple of months. I wouldn't bring any, but I'd end up bumming one from a friend.

Do they taste disgusting or are you enjoying them?

The last cig I smoked, bummed from friend while drinking. It was gross, I made myself put it out after one or two drags and go back to vaping --- yum. That night every time my friends lit up, I let myself have another drag if I wanted, off that same cig....gross. Back to vaping....yum. By the end of that cig prob lit 6-8 times, down to the ......it was so gross. I've never smoked another one, or even seriously wanted one. Sure a little phantom craving now and then. But nothing serious. Now the friends still smoke like crazy, and smell horrendous while all I taste is ...yum.


If they still taste good, that's harder. I made sure to take a good tobacco flavor, + at least 3 more b/c I like variety, at least one in higher nic strength than I normally vape. Then do the best you can in not bumming one. (Do not buy/bring any!) If you do bum one, maybe not your brand so it's not as satisfying?

I struggled with that for awhile, still do sometimes. But lately what I've realized is that as you get more and more intoxicated, you obviously start to get numb and if you've got a low nic or high VG liquid or whatever leads to a lower throat hit, it's fine if you're sober but once you're drunk you don't get that satisfaction on the inhale.

So I just grabbed some juices that are higher nicotine and PG mixed juices so that I get my nicotine but can still feel that throat hit when I vape while drinking. It helps a lot for me.

I used that same strategy in the first three or four months after I quit. I'd allow myself one puff, and no inhale. IMO, it helped my brain reinforce the fact that smoking tastes terrible. It might not work for every one, but it sure helped me!
