Drinking & Vaping is A Good Combination

I was worried how I would handle going out with friends and drinking, knowing some of them would be smoking. After a few drinks I asked for a cigarette and it was AWFUL and I knew without a doubt that would be my last one.

I sat there for hours and smoked my e-cig and it tasted wonderful. My smoking friends were intrigued with this e-cig and the fact that I was not smoking as they have seen me quit countless times before to no avail.

Of course they all want to run out and buy one now. I tried to explain not all e-cigs are going to taste like mine, but I don't think they really understood all the dynamics that go along with e-cigs. However, I tried my best to school them with the little knowledge I have.

Tonight was a true test and I am proud to say after 40 years of smoking I have finally kicked the habit thanks to my little friend, the e cig and this forum.

Six days and counting.........

Yesterday I stepped outside in the mall to do some vaping (my wife does not like stealth vaping) and while I was there a couple of gentleman stared and questioned what I was using (Joye 510). One said he had tried ecigs and did not like it (Pilot purchased NJoy). I told him about this place and all of the different styles (the other gentleman was impressed that it did not look like a analog). Both said they would check into it.

The one that had not tried ecigs before - I doubt he will, but the one that had tried NJoy will probably be lurking soon if not already... He really wanted to quit. Like me he had already tried patches, gum, etc. I told him he just needed to try it with a real ecig. I also explained that do not expect it to taste like an analog - he got to pick the taste that fit him the best.

At the time I was vaping tobacco with a touch of coffee mixed in - got my two vices at the same time (lol)...

Sober, I dont want much to do with the analogs at all. They make me sick

I'm so glad you posted this. I've been off of analogs now for about a month thanks to my e-cig.
But I've also been scared to death to go out with my "drinking buddies", for fear that I'd start smoking the cancer sticks again for sure once I got a buzz on. (Figured my liver needed a break anyway).
But it's great to know you got along just fine with youe e-cig.
See you guys later...I'm headed off to my local bar now to give it a try. lol!

That was my weak point. Smoking cessation and still enjoying a drink. Stopping smoking and still drinking is a no no. Stopping both at the same time is impossible. Along comes the e-cig. Started smoking it the morning and went to a party and took a pack of analogues with just in case.
That was 4 months ago and the analogues are still in my bag.
No more stinky cigs for me. How disgusting it looks now to smoke.

My neighbor smokes analogs. About once a week, I ask him for a drag just to see how my taste buds are changing. For the first week it tasted kinda bad, but felt fantastic in the chest. After a couple weeks they tasted nasty as hell but still felt OK in the chest. After a month, they taste like eating a burnt up .... and feel horrible in the chest. I don't think I could smoke another analog even if I was stranded in the desert w/o my e-cig. They are just gross gross gross!!!

never thought i would stop smoking analogs (never wanted to) but even drunk i only vape my e-cig now good to see that you are converting people, too some nights half of my juice is vaped by friends who want to try that stuff ... bought 2 starter kits already ... lets hope you can convert even more people .

I can drink and vape, I made it a little easier on myself starting out. Bought some 24mg juice for when I drink, I normally use 12mg or 18mg. Started out with just a few drinks and vaping, now I can drink without having to have an analogue. I like the fact that I can vape while drinking since everytime I tried to quit using a patch I would get half cocked and rip off the patch and start smoking. Going up slightly in nic level while drinking really helped, now I can pretty much vape my daily juice without having to go up in nic. Good Luck!

I don't think it is "good" good. But if you are talking about the good life, then I got your back. I don't really think these vices bring anything good to us but the pleasure we feel when going through it. Not talking about stones, but it sort of gives you a good high you can never experience somewhere else.

For those going out drinking and fearing the urge for an analo, i'd recommend you get some stronger juice for these occasions. The booze seem to numb the senses and you dont register the hit as well, i think some 24mg juice would do the trick, when im drinking and smoking analogs (was doing this that is) i would take super harsh drags, partly to feel it and partly, i dont know, some kind of self destructive urge. I think im gonna ge a bottle of 24mg juice for when im out drinking to take the TH over the top.

Anyone have any recommendation for drink and juice parings? i'd love to see something like that, favorite juice to pair with beer, vodka, rum and coke and even red/white wine pairings...wonder if it would be funner to match similar flavors or different i.e. cosmo with a cran/rasberry juice or cosmo with a mango/peach or maybe a gimlet with a hazelnut juice, idk, just interesting and i will certainly post any findings once i have more juice variety and more chances to go out drinking. love you all.

Last night I was eating apple pie and vaping apple pie. That was pretty good. I also was drinking an iced pumpkin pie coffee with the apple pie vape. THAT was even better!!!

Now you have taken drinking and vaping to a whole new level trying to pair juice up with cocktails or even food. You know how we use to love to smoke after a meal. Its hard for me to say what goes good together seeing as I only have two flavors, menthol and cherry.

Seeing as I am a red wine drinker it seems some fruity flavors would go well. Didn't think of that last night and was vaping menthol but next time I indulge in wine I'll use cherry juice.

Now lets say I'd had just finish a big juicy steak what kind of juice do you think would go well with that?

So lets say I was drinking a Bloody Mary what juice would compliment that drink?

Hmmm this could get interesting and has great potential for vendors who sell e-cigs, juice, etc to use this concept for advertising their products.

If I wasn't such an old lazy slug completely out of energy I would seriously look into the possibility's of starting a business out of pairing juice with cocktails and food. However, I'll leave that up to the younger entrepreneur's because I do believe there is a market for it.
