I'd buy a couple of these, leaks / over-drips going down into my boxmods are annoying me. Anyone??

Yep, I reckon that's the best thing a cone does, it stops the drips. I don't like the way it strangles the airflow though, I hacksaw 3mm off the top of mine so I can get some thicker carts in easier and get better air. It catches stray drips better too.

But this design is mainly for mods etc. Just needs an open cup. It's a simple machining job, mainly screwcutting and trepanning, you could do it on a modelmaker's lathe, a small job like a Myford. Commercially you could could knock out thousands an hour on something like a Citizen NC auto, which is what they'd use if you ordered it from China. It's three parts of course, a centre pole, a delrin insulator, and an outer part, put together in a small press or just a vice, with an interference fit.

It's basically an adapter but just 510 to 510, with a wide flange. 'Course you could make it 510 to 801 and have it do two jobs then.

Nope.

What I do now is get a long 510-to-510 adapter, attach my 510 atty, slide on a dripcatcher sleeve, then fit the driptip. I use 2 bonuts in the atty.

The long adapter has to be sealed with superglue or epoxy, to stop liquid going right down through. I can't remember where the adapter and sleeve come from, probably Good Prophets and Avid Vaper. I use a 1.5 ohm LR and a 2.5 ohm SR according to the rig it is on (3.7 or VV). It is the best taste and flavor you can get IMO. Way better than cartos/tanks unless maybe you drive them at 16 watts or something. You can get 6 or 7 drops in and that does me for some time.

In the end this is a better idea because you can reup the liquid.
