I was wondering what purpose drip shields serve. I am looking for a heatsink type attachment so that my draws are not as hot, since i'll be running a sub-ohm setup. Is there a device that functions like this. A specific drip tip attachment, or maybe even a drip tip that also acts as a heatsink? Thanks.

Drip shields were originally made for 901 atomizers (they just happen to also fit 510 atomizers if you add an extension)
You would have to make a different drip shield for every rda out there.
You want long drip tips, or delrin drip tips if you are trying to get away from the heat, a drip shield wouldn't do that.
