One of the tricks with the o-ring is to lube it up with a tiny bit of juice before trying to slide it into the carto...
I've been using DTs for months, love, love, LOVE them. I drip to top off (only 3-4 drops) or pull them off for a bigger fill. No problems, easy peasy!
I use the different colors to let me know what juice I have in my carto and like both the delrin and the aluminum -- is that what V4L's metal ones are???

Concept seemed nice, sadly the one I ordered just falls out of every V4L carto I stick it in. Has no grip at all.

sounds unusual that you'd experience such an issue. the tips and cartos we use are all the same, no?
did you read through this entire thread for suggestions? someone mentioned having to really push it in, possibly lubing it up a little first with a drip of juice. are you able to do this? someone else also mentioned that o-rings may be replaceable if you go to an auto parts store. perhaps a larger o-ring may help your specific batch of cartos if you want to get all MacGyver for an immediate fix.
of course, V4L CS is awesome, so in the event you got a bad one, just contact them. they're snowed in right now, but i can't imagine them not correcting your situation. try a PM to one of the V4L staffers for advice on how to proceed.

AUBIE, you're boggling my mind. you get 40 drops in? i do 34 max, or i'm sucking juice. (~30 drops via syringe, then four more on top)
also, if you're dripping straight into the tip, what is keeping you from sucking the juice right back out into your mouth? any juice in the center hole of the carto seems to be too much, and i eat it. (which sucks with clove, as it numbs a spot on your tongue, haha!)

That was my experience too at first. What you have to do is really push HARD to get them in. It has to go in past the rubber o-ring. Try, try again.
After the first time, it didn't seem so hard. Good Luck.

You know, those Bling batteries are cute.... but so not me. Now if you could have them shoot fire or laughing gas out of the end, that would definitely be me!!
I haven't tried the aluminum tips yet, but they remind me of a set of anodized tea tumblers my mom had in the fifties. They have a great nostalgic look to them in the pic for me. I just don't know if my teeth could tolerate them.

Just saw your post, sorry so long in answering!
... I do get 40, and then some sometimes. I keep the center clear by keeping a condom with a stem on the batt end while filling. I use the Leaford lanyard to spin, and leave the carto in there while I drip:
10+ drops, spin, another 10, spin, and so on. Takes less than a minute. It's all about the Taryn spin. And that handy, carto-snug lanyard. I look like a fool doing it tho. But it lasts for a really long time before needing a top-off.
(Of late I really do just drip until it's filled almost the brim, slowly enough that it absorbs a good bit pre-spin, so it's lots more than 10 drops at a time. Just be sure to pop a condom the cap back on before spinning so no juice flies away.)

Too funny, Torrid. Made me think of the original TV's Penguin from Batman. POW! KABAM!
OMG! You're so right!! I can see me standing outside with a few friends to talk while they smoke. The wind shifts and the smoke starts coming toward me. I press a second button and a fan pops out of the end and blows the smoke back at them. Then they complain that the wind is cold so I press another button and a nice toasty flame comes out for them to stand nearby and warm up their hands. It would be SO awesome.
