So I'm pretty new to drippers, and I'm having some trouble with the o-rings on the ones I have:
My first dripper was an IGO-W, and at first, the cap came on and off smoothly with little effort. After a month or two of use, the cap started being hard to get on and off, to the point of me having to make several tries to get the thing to fit down on the base properly. Inspection showed that the topmost o-ring was stretched somewhat, and not sitting evenly in its groove (sticking farther out on one side than the other). There was also some gashes where the ring had been pinched between the base and the cap. I attempted to even out the ring, but I never could get it to sit evenly all the way around the base. I replaced that o-ring with one of the included spares, and now around 2 weeks later, I'm having the same issue. I don't have another spare o-ring; is there somewhere that spare o-rings are sold?
My second is an IGO-M, and ever since I got it I have had to TUG AND TUG to get the stupid cap off. It seems to go back on a bit easier. Anything I can do to loosen the fit a bit?
My third is an EHPro Veritas clone. It does all right, but I have trouble getting the cap to go on straight sometimes because of the uneven deck. Any Veritas users out there with tips on this?
At this point, I wonder if I'm doing something wrong when I remove/replace my caps. I've tried pulling them straight off the base, and I've tried wiggling the cap back and forth a bit to loosen it before I pull it off. Do most people just remove the drip tip and drip through there, rather than removing the cap every time to refill? I've tried that too, but I tend to overfill and have juice leak out the airholes when I do that (works great on the Veritas though)...
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
