I have experienced the same thing. I drip at home and at work, and use cartons on the go. I seem to get more vapor and flavor from dripping than cartos. I got some smoketech mega dual coils and they work pretty good, but I still enjoy dripping more. I have yet to try any tanks or non poly fill cartos on my eGo but I imagine they have the potential to out perform standard type cartos...

Happy vaping

I use both an EGoGo and an Ego passthrough that's a straight dripper. Are my taste buds deceiving me or does dripping taste much better than using a carto?

Nope dripping an atty is much more flavorful and it brings out flavors that you wouldn't even know were there if all you used was poly cartos.

I used to drip all the time. Then switch over to dual coil carts just for the convenience of it all. Now I have put my joye 510 t atomizers with 510 t tank on my ego batteries and am enjoying that a bunch. After both my tanks broke I never thought I was going to get a clean vapor again.... I still drip from time to time though only when I am at home.

I wish I could say I have the hang of dripping a debridged atomizer, but when I do it I either flood it, or get nasty burnt tasting vapes, can't find a sweet spot. When I do seem to get an atomizer that works it's great, but that's like 1 out of 5 at best The best flavor for me so far is a ce2.

I never debridge atty's and feel it is unnecessary for dripping. All it accomplishes is leaking atty's and a direct unobstructed path to my tongue for boiling juice droplets. I have used several brands of 510 atty's and none work as well as the standard resistance joye IMO. The other brands seem to have leaking issues or the draw gets too tight in no time. I agree if dripping isn't for you the next best thing is a top coil ce2 or a gotvapes vision.

No deception involved... this is one of the main reasons we drippers drip.
I've been dripping exclusively for over two years and I don't see that ever changing.

There are two words that can induce me to close a post quickly... they are filler and wicking.

I've tried my share of cartridges, cartos, and carto tanks all with similar results... it's just not as good as a direct drip. The physics tells us that *drawing* liquid into the coil is just not as efficient as covering the coil in liquid. With the coil (properly) covered it has no choice but to produce the best possible flavor and vapor from the liquid and most importantly, for me, the best resulting TH.

Keep in mind, back in the day, direct dripping was discovered because we needed a way to coat those brand new atomizers because depending on wicking (then from a cartridge) resulted in many an atty burnout due to it being way too dry. Dripping didn't catch on right away because we didn't have sealed batteries. Liquid seeping into auto batteries was nearly always premature battery death. Enter the manual/sealed batteries and direct dripping became the norm or semi-norm, anyway.

Along the way, dripping became viewed as a nuisance by some. I never quite understood that rationale. I mean, that would be akin to complaining about having to light an analog... I never heard any smoker say; "Damn analogs can't even light themselves!". =)

But I digress...

To date, I haven't found anything that can replace direct dripping. And no, I refuse to compromise any part of the flavor, vapor and especially the TH of dripping for the so-called convenience of cartos, et al. And as pointed out in this thread, I use less liquid direct dripping because there is little waste. The ONLY time I have an issue with dripping is during a long drive. I circumvent that with Super T's vapemate.

To the OP... your discovery is not unusual. The bad news is now that you've discovered the virtues of dripping it is hard to go back to anything else. =)

I started dripping on the 306 because the 306 carts are so small and can hold so little filler material that they're useless. I'm so glad I did!

Since then, I've tried dripping with my 510's because I was so frustrated with how muted the flavors were. That didn't work out so well. It's too easy to flood a 510, and the flavor just doesn't seem as good.

Dripping with a 306 is definitely my favorite vape. Lots of flavor and lots of vapor!

Only problem is that the 306 seems so much more fragile that other atties. They die so much more quickly and are so much harder to find.
