there was a recent one about a user dipping the m401 atomizer into liquid instead of dabbing the fluid drop onto the atomizer (since you can't "drip" easily onto it the same as like a 901). and was suggested to use an eggholder to sortof stand your carts in to let them soak up fluid.

also, houdini has shown in this thread that he dips his wicks to saturate them.

well, i got to thinking...what about tattoo ink cups? they're small, and cheap...and hold tiny amounts of fluid...might be worth looking into for some of these types of applications. they would probably be a perfect size to sortof...dip your cart into, or to dip the wick into and let it soak up.

i don't know the dimensions, but from memory they would probably be a bit big for 901 carts, but dipping the cart filler might work.

just a thought.

also...since most of the fluid ends up at the bottom of the filler and doesn't make it to the top...what about just flipping the filler around once in a while or when it starts feeling empty? i can't be the first to think of that! :)

some tattoo ink caps and a nifty skull "holder" --

note...looks like there are a couple sizes of these cups, so one might be big enough for a 901 cart after all.

discuss.

I didn't have an eggholder but did have a itsy tiny Tupperware bowl keychain I've had for years. I tried placing the cart in this tiny bowl & dripped the liquid over it, then rolling it over with tweezers. Worked perfectly! I had been dripping liquid in the cart but it never lasted very long due to the fact I wasn't getting it totally wet. My little bowl is now part of my ecig kit.

What i like to do, since i usually carry a little squeeze bottle of liquid, is hold the tip of the squeeze bottle right on the atomizer while a little fluid runs out. This way, there's no splash from a drop of liquid, and the liquid immediately starts soaking into the wool of the atomizer.

Usually i do this every time i put a fresh cart on or when my cart starts tasting plastic-ey. Works like a charm. Actually the vapor reminds me of my pen style when i drip+use cart. You just have to be careful not to overfill the cart or drip too much on the atomizer, otherwise it's liquid in your mouth time.

Also the best way to fill a 401 cart is with a syringe. Stick the syringe all the way into the bottom of the cartridge and fill it until you see liquid come up to the top of the wool, then move the syringe around a little to eliminate any air bubbles. You'll get a feel for how wet you want it eventually.
