Hey everyone. I haven't posted in ages and have really missed the forum. Hope your 2011 is going smoke free and smooth.

I don't know if this is possible, but I'd love to know if anyone has been able to remove the polyfill from an Ego Mega Carto and then just use it for dripping. The reason I wonder is because after a while - about a week and half - said Cartos start going downhill in a big time way for me (no vapor production, no TH) so if it doesn't create too much of a spillage mess I'm thinking I might 'revive' them.

I've seen threads where people have converted 510 and Kr8 Cartos just for dripping. I can't recall specifics, but they've removed the polyfill and it's just become a regular atty for them. From a money saving standpoint, it would be awesome to fall back on used and abused cartos and give them a new lease on life as attys for dripping. Anyone know if this can be done with the Ego Mega Cartos as well?

I've got a few eGo mega carto's and i've found soaking them in isopropyl alcohol then letting them completely dry by hanging them off the back of my PC in the warm exhaust air for a couple days has brought them back to life.

now i'm curious though, I may have to sacrifice one.

It's certainly worth a try, thanks for the tip!

I have gutted many; for dripping-purpose. Not gutted as in a regular carto; I have chopped off the top to the right level with a saw and removed filler. They kinda work as a dripper-only ad hoc 'atty', but they are weak; consistency-wise, for the most part. Maybe cleaning or changing filler (wouldnt know how) is the way to go...

PS: Replace them! Come on... Heeee!

EDIT: Mind you, by 'weak' above I mean WEAK as in VERY POOR quality vape! Guess that once they are done, they are 'gone'... You could always 'revive' them, but still... Not the same thing.

I'm thankful that you've tried this before Revolver. I was definitely thinking about chopping off the top as they are pretty much a sealed unit. You're right about replacing them! But anything that can save me a few dollars is important right now.

Thing is, I was really impressed with Dogs' NF Carto Mod and the massive vapor production I got from KR8 Cartos when I first removed the fill from them. I'll try it with Ego Mega, but I'm sure you're right since you've tested them, once they are gone ... they're gone. That's the beauty of this forum, everyone's tried just about everything already! Thanks again.
