From what I have found with using high voltage is to always flood the atomizer. Now when I drip using stock voltage this is really not the way to go. The vapor does not build up as strong. I do drip on both, but when using high voltage it is better to really soak your atomizer. On high voltage you want to be able to see the liquid on top of the atomizer.

Stock

510 2 or 3 drops
901 2 or 3 drops
801 3 or 4 drops

High voltage 5-7v

510- 4 or 5 drops -You may want to carry something with you to wipe on the e-liquid that comes out of the vents.
901 4 or 5 drops
801 5 or 6 drops

Using more liquid on high voltage really brings out the flavor. If you are using to less of e-liquid you get a more harsh flavor. If you use a lot of e-liquid then you get a really flavorful wet hit.

Yep, I just discovered this yesterday. I just got a Prodigy the other night and started dripping, but the hits were harsh and tasteless. I was wondering if I had made a mistake getting this big boy.

In the morning I prepped the Prodigy for my commute by filling two of those massive 801 cartridges and priming the atomizer. I took a couple hits to make sure it was vaping OK since fixing an e-cig at 80mph is not recommended. Those hits were amazing! Massive vapor, tons of taste.

By the time I got to work the cartridge was getting dry, and I was getting harsh, tasteless vapes again. I switched to the other full cart, gave a couple huffs to get the atomizer wet, and those massive tasty vapes came back full force. Love it!

So now I keep the atomizers wet, and add a couple more drops any time the flavor starts to disappear.

I concur.... if you don't keep the attys really, really wet on the Prodigy, they burn out - FAST!

About 5-6 drops is what I use, too, in the 801 on the Prod, on top of the saturated cart filling....I've also taken to cutting the carts down a bit, to allow more room between the wick and the cart plastic (I have a couple of carts where clear evidence of melting was going on from the higher temp/voltage), and pull up the filler to make good contact with the bridge.

I agree.
But if you are using Nhalers high voltage juices, 3 drops are enough in the 801 atty.

I agree, This is an art that you get used to real quick. One thing I notice between the different atomizers (RN or SLB) is that you get that gurgling sound more on the RN. I know there is enough juice before I hit the button if I pull and feel the gurgling. I know to add more drops before mashing the button if I don't. This is harder to tell on the SLB cause I think they can hold more juice in the atty. Again you get used to the taste indication and drip at that point. Everyone says to add when the vapor trails off but I get that burnt taste long before that happens.

Nice,,, I just got mine up and running, and was wondering why it tasted like ..... I just added 5 drops on top of the 2/3, and YES!!!!!! It taste great now with great hits. A full cart and 5 drops on the atty and finally a decent drag. I was worried about flooding it out, but it seems to be flood proof. :D Good tips, thanks!!

Last nite I let my neighbor hit my prodigy, he took a massive drag like it was ...., he let it out and was man it taste like a camel cig. He was even holding it in and the vapor cloud was huge.

I get the gurgles a lot with my penstyle atty's (low bridge). Always lots of vapor too. The way that I vape is a direct lung inhale. I get that "low juice warning" quite quickly since it's almost an immediate rancid tingle in the back of my throat. That's when I know it's time to re-drip.

Yep, that's the method that works for me as well. There is a harshness and change in flavor which signals its time to drip again. It's those few vapes right before this happens that are sometimes the best hits for me.
