Alrighty, being pretty new to vaping, I figure I may as well get this question out of the way before I make the plunge completely. I've been vaping off of a KR808D for a few weeks at this point, and now and I'm looking to get my first eGo. I'm kinda overwhelmed by all the choices and customization available for it, but I've basically narrowed it down to two options. Dripping seems to be the simplest take at it, and its kind of the default for a lot of people. But then we have tanks, and honestly, I really like the idea of just vaping for hours without any interruption or need to refuel.

So, simple question. For someone who's a newbie like me, would you recommend to start with dripping or tanks?

I just started out too and had a seasoned friend walk me through. I've got the smokeless image volt battery and at first I used the cortomizers that you drip liquid into- they worked well, but often dry out before you can vape all the flavor out of em. The CE3 cartomizers are like a tank setup and i love them. they put out solid clouds, massive flavor delivery, and haven't had to refill since i got them 4 days ago.

try both, i have an inferno with tank and sometimes i put an atty on and drip. dripping gives me more vapor and flavor (which i prefer) but tank is easier to vape without having to constantly refill. but with the REO basically solves that problem you, its dripping without the constant refill. im thinking of getting a reo.

Why would I restrict myself to just one?

I personally don't like bottom feeders like the REO, but that's just me. Don't like Gennies either. But, I love a good dripping atty, and also love the convenience of a good tank when out & about.
Just understand that everyone is an individual, and what floats my boat might not float yours.

Agreed on most counts.. I just started a few weeks back and started with a V2 kit which didn't satisfy and I quickly went to a few eGo Twists VV and ViVi clearo and 1 day ago picked up a general 510 LR atty to try dripping. While I like dripping for the taste, hit and warmth it's not convenient for me to do all the time so the clearo works best for general everday use. As tj99959 stated why restrict when you, for not too much $, try various ways! :)

I think that you'll want to be able to drip on an atomizer at times regardless of which method you choose for all day use. Dripping has it's place, especially when you wnat to try out new flavors - 3 drops and you're good for a half dozen puffs, then you can change easily or even clean in between. That said, dripping all day is tedious although flavorful.

As for tanks, you might want to start first with a Vision Ego or Stardust type of clearomizer, which is very easy to use - just unscrew the top and add liquid! Carto tanks require punched cartos and there can be flooding and refilling issues to manage which might be better for a more experienced user.

The other issue is how loyal you are to one juice. Dripping is the most flexible, while tanks require you to commit 3-5 ml of juice at a time. The Vison Ego is in the middle, holding about 1.6ml.

Good luck finding your next step! If you're in southeast MI I might be able to help.

My:2c: would be to start out with a good easy to use carto tank such as a bella or elegance very easy to use.I use these when out and about. Then these days now i use rebuildable gennisus type attys at home they are harder to use and much more to understand to get them working propper but they are great once you learn how to do them not as good for a starter.

Get a vivi nova for your ego twist it is easy to use and delivers on flavor. For a dollar or two you can also get a kr808 to 501 adaptor and use the k8808 cartos you have now with the ego.
