Hey,
I just got myself an Aerotank (SO EXCITED), and I was curious if someone could give me some pointers on how to use the drip-tip?

I'm assuming that it's really like any other drip tip (just drop some juice down it and vape away), but because it's on top of a tank, I'm a little confused.

How many drops (approximately) should I be dropping down there? And is it really worth it to use the drip tip over the tank itself?
I saw a video where someone complained about flooding, and by using the drip tip... aren't you kinda causing something akin to what happens when it floods?

Sorry, I'm totally new to this. I already filled the tank and took a couple draws off of it and thus far, it's pretty awesome (smooth draw, lots of vapor production (seriously though, WOW))... but I've never used a drip tip before, and this is the first I've even heard of one being on top of a tank.

Thanks for the pointers. Sorry these questions might seem a little naive and perhaps silly to people who are experienced with this sort of thing.

I have an aero tank, but have never tried to drip through the drip tip. I don't even think it works that way.

back in the day, you used to drip through the drip tip, but really now they're kinda just a mouth piece. but the name still stuck.

None A drip tip is for something else. You can use it to vape but not to drip with your tank that is something totaly different.

Have to agree with everyone else here. I own an Aerotank tank and I tried a bit of dripping in it. More than 2 drops at a time will cause flooding/gurgling and it's pretty hard to get rid of.

Building coils is rather easy (easier than I thought, anyway), and I've been a happy dripper on a cheap-... (but not cheap performing!) Igo-L for the last few days.

Hey!
Thanks for the info!

I thought it was kinda strange that there'd be a drip tip on a tank, and your replies kinda echoed what I was already thinking.

Yes, much like many things surrounding the vape world, this can be a little confusing when starting off. Luckily you came to the right place. This site has more answers in it than a Cranium box. Feel free to come here with any other questions you may have.

And most importantly, enjoy that new Aerotank of yours!

If you bought this as a B&M, go back and kick the clerk in the groin for selling you something without making sure you understood how to use it. If you bought this online, and it didn't come with instructions, youtube Aerotank and watch multiple videos on it's proper use.

Seriously...please research all products before you buy it. Know the ideology behind it's design or how it works prior to buying online. I'm not being a ....., I just hate to see people spend money without knowing what it is that they are spending it on.

I honestly bought the Aerotank in the first place because of what people were saying about it on the forum.
I have two Kanger EVODs and one ended up being a dud (SO MUCH LEAKING), and the other works just fine. People were saying they weren't having the leaking/gurgling problem with the Aerotanks, so after awhile of looking around and reading a reasonable amount of very positive reviews on the forum, I decided that I would try it (I also ordered it new (and unopened) off Ebay, so it wasn't exactly expensive (and yes it's real Kanger, I already checked the serial number on the scratch off on the side)).
(Frankly, I almost went for a glass EVOD but reviews changed my mind about it - namely I wanted a glass tank so I could try some flavors that are supposed to be not so good for the plastic)

I didn't go into this blindly or anything, I just didn't quite understand the use of a drip tip on a tank (and obviously, now I know there isn't really one) -- and was something I didn't see anyone talking about (literally have not seen anyone talking about the drip tip), nor anyone saying anything about it in YT reviews.

I'm still a newb, and I think it's kinda understandable I'm going to have some questions but I'm not just jumping in without looking first.

Yeah, it confused me too at first. Basically, a drip tip on a tank functions as a regular tip; a mouthpiece. A drip tip on a dripping atomizer functions as a dripper, as well as a mouthpiece. Drip tips are interchangeable, so you can use them on any type of tank or atomizer as long as it fits. So if you buy a 510 type drip-tip (the kind that will fit on your Aero), it will function as a regular mouthpiece just fine. For example, you can put a long drip-tip on it for cooler vapor, or a stubby drip-tip for warmer vapor.

I personally think that jumping into new things without knowing every last detail about it is more fun, but at the same time, such practices should be avoided with the more accident-prone aspects to vaping (sub-ohm vaping especially so)

Don't let her make you feel bad, mate-- a lot of the instructions that come with vape gear are translated into English (poorly) and are a bit hard to follow. Sometimes it's easier to just come here and chat with real life English speaking people. And besides, this is the New Member Forum you're allowed to ask as many dumb questions as you want here. :)

Side note: I have noticed that my Aerotank will sometimes leak out of the Aerobase if it's been sitting unused for too long or if the coil head isn't screwed in tight enough.

5mL PBC Tanks , never have to worry about cracking liquid as this tank is plastic that has a glass insert to keep tank from cracking.

I fully agree, it's what the forum is basically designed for. I haven't noticed the leaking myself, except for when indeed the coil was not screwed on tight. It also unscrews itself sometimes when taking the tank off.

I have also had this happen since I use botton coil tanks once in a while. So I try to check to make sure the coil is secure when I go to clean my tanks/coils. Or change liquids.
