Thanks for the replies. When dripping, how long does it usually take to start to decline on average? I know it will vary, but this would be good to know. The reason I ask is I am trying to do something that I know I probably shouldn't do, which is to test several different juices before committing a cartomizer to them. I know that unless I clean the atty out between juices, that the flavor will be mixed a little, but as long as I can keep it relatively low mixed that would be OK for me.

If you are cleaning or blowing out atomizers between flavors, you should start with 4 or 5 drops.
Then you can add 3 drops as needed from that point forward.

A cleaned or completely blown out atomizer needs extra drops to start with.

Excellent advice all around. I just want to mention that you will get the hang of it. Don't be intimidated. Dripping is a great way to test out flavors. Blow out the atty, add about 5 drops to a dry atty and vape. You may get a little bit of mixed flavor at first but after the 2nd or 3rd refill of 2-3 drops each you should be getting a clean taste of the new flavor. (there may be some exceptions to this. I have heard that cinnamon flavors, for example, tend to hang in the atty for a long time)

Lately I've been too lazy to blow out the atty and just swap juices on the fly. I just vape through the mixed flavor (most of the time its not even that bad) and soon enough all you'll taste is the new flavor. You'll get the hang of it in no time! Vape on!

I do DIY and I am testing flavors all along as I create new combos. I just put 3 or 4 drops in - give it a few taste - then blow it out. If I want to really get rid of a flavor that I have just tried before trying another - I drip 6 or 7 drops of plan pg on the atty and blow it out a couple of more times before adding a new flavor. But don't try vaping an atty almost dry before trying another ; if you don't loose an atty - you may get a burnt taste in it that will be much harder to get out.
