Dripping. What am I doing wrong?

Before I get into the problem, here is my basic info.

-Been vaping for about a week.
-Using a eGo with a Normal 510 atty.
-Dripping using a drip tip.
-Dripping Atomic Cinacide from Tasty Vapors 90pg/10vg.

My problem is this. I drip 3-4 drops into my drip tip or even directly on the atty bridge and I can get a good 4.. maybe 5 vapes from my eGo before the flavor and TH start to drop and is replaced by a faint burnt/plastic taste.

Is this normal? Everything I've read on dripping leads me to believe I should be getting 10-15 vapes from 3 drops. I even watched a Youtube video where a guy put 3 drops into his eGo and basically chain vaped on camera for 5min, 10+ hits with huge vapor.

So what am I doing wrong? Why am I only getting 4-5 vapes per 3-4 drops? They are not even that huge of hits.

Is the loss of flavor, TH, and faint burnt taste that I'm having mean it's really dry or is there a larger problem? Even after those first 4-5 good tasting hits I can still vape a long time; it tastes bad, the TH is low, but it's still producing some vapor. How are you supposed to know when to drip some more?

The only thing I can think of is maybe *MY* 3 drops might not equal 3 drops of everyone else? All I have is the 30ml bottles from Tasty Vapors from my first order. The tips do seem sort of narrow but I don't have any other dropper bottles to compare them to. Maybe I'm doing 3 baby drops or something.

I really wish the REO and other popular bottom feed mods weren't always out of stock. I'd kill for one of those right now. I'm sick of worrying if there is enough juice in my atty, or if I put too much and going to flood it. I just want to turn my brain off and vape.

Does your liquid have any VG in it? I would think a pure PG liquid wouldn't hold up as long for dripping but I really don't know. I'm a full fledged dripper and all of my liquids are 70/30 PG/VG and 3 drops keeps me going a while unless I'm on a binge. I don't drip more drops until there's a loss in flavor. I still have plenty of vapor but the flavor goes south and I know it's time for 2 more drops. Try blowing out your atty from the battery end and give it a dry burn, then put about 4 or 5 drops in to re-prime. It should be good to go.

90/10 is pretty thin. I have found I like 80/20. Good throat hit and nice vapor. Check your atty. look on the bottom is it stamped "LR". You can also check the resistance and if it ohms out below 2.0 ohms then LR. A standard resistance atty will get 10-12 good puffs and an LR will deliver about 5 - 6 depending on draw length of course.

No, they are normal 510's, not LR.

I did blow out my atty's and start over. Still the same thing.

I'm really starting to think I'm worrying over nothing. I just did a google image search for "10ml dropper bottle" and looking at the pictures it seems like the tips on all the droppers are huge compared to the 30ml bottles I got from Tasty Vapors. I think I'm just doing 3 baby drops.

do you find much leaking if you remove the atty from the battery? 3 drops is isually good for 6-10 drags off a normal atty, now my LR atty 4 or 5 is about nornal before i need to re drip.

make sure their isnt a little lr on the bottom of the atty where is connects to the battery.i actually started using an LR on accident as it was sent to me by mistake so ya never know.

sorry relized live2ski pretty much beat me to it :)

Add an extra drip and watch the air vents at the bottom of the atty. If nothing leaks out and vapor is still going south faster than you'd like, continue to increase the amount of drops. Once you have it coming out the atty vents you know you've put in too many. Remove the atty and clean the threads and clean the battery threads and you can back off on the amount of drops till its no longer flooding. This method is ok for manual batteries but will flood and ruin an automatic battery. Also keep in mind that if you recently cleaned the atty, it's going to need to be reprimed which could be why you're only getting a couple of good hits before the juice is gone.

If 3 -4 drops isn't enough try one more, then one more....etc, if you add enough to
where the vapor starts dropping (starting to flood the atty) back off and blow it out
if necessary. It won't hurt the atty, and it will tell you how many of your drops are
necessary. Also if the atty is new it just may need a little break in time, then :vapor::vapor:

Consider you have to prime an atty as it is 'new' (or has been blown, etc.). In the case of 510: Drip one drop on the bridge, and watch as the metal mesh absorbs it (round 5 secs...) re-drip, and repeat till you have dripped around 4 drops. Then wait for one and a half minute. Vape. When flavor and/or vapor diminishes repeat the former procedure but this time with just 3 drops. Then again, but two. And so on. Notice that at first you are to get a very few puffs until the atty is primed.
On a related dripping note: Drip on the bridge when the atty is cool, otherwise it wont hold the juice. And try to hold your PV vertically for the most part when vaping, not puffing on it constantly but rather giving it some seconds to cool down between vapes. The art of dripping is aquired naturally so dont over worry you'll feel the right amounts and details with some practice.

For me I have to add 6 to 8 drops after blowing out all the liquid to get 5 or 6 huge puffs(lr atty). if I dont do this I might get 2 hits before tasting the atty. If I were you I would keep adding drops until you hear it bubbling as your drawing on it. This is to make sure that the atomizer is primed as several people said before me. I have also noticed that if I drip through my drip tips the liquid can get stuck in the tip itself but you will know when this happens cause you end up with a mouth full of liquid and that sucks!!!! Keep trying you'll figure it out. Good Luck!!!

Just give a quick little blow over the drip-tip and that should take care of stuck juice. Don't blow directly into the drip tip, just a short light blow over the top. This will virtually put an end to juice mouth.
