So when I got my Provari I also got a 510 joyetech atomizer with it but wasn't too sure how to actually "drip." But I just got off work youtubed it and tried it out. I'm actually amazed with it. Such a warm tasteful vape, it's has no throat hit at 5v but I don't mind that at all. I'm actually really liking this vape. One question though, how long will the atomizer last on average?

Hey FatJankey!

Welcome to the club :) :toast:

I don't drip as much as I used to for convenience's sake but it is a great vape.
To answer your question, It really depends on how hard your pushing it. I've had atomizers last me months at a time and I've had others that have went bad in a few days. But on average I'm going to have to agree with Alyssasmama at about a month.

I agree. If you take super long drags making it work overtime and let it get dry you're gonna have a shorter life span on it. So once you start getting that hint of burning flavor, refill it and keep going. You should def be able to get about 3-5 weeks for sure.

I like those low res Joytech attys for tasting juices. I got a clone cyclone from Strick Nyne Blends and they had it loaded with a 1.9 res coil & wick. It rocks great on the provari...

out and about...
How many drips is recommended for the Joytech 510 LR Atomizer?

i remember dripping 4 or 5 drops. i had a drip shield though. with the 510s i liked to find that sweet spot where there was as soft gurgle, but not too heavy.

with my 306 de-wicked it's three drops.

when i started i used tanks. then i realized that i was vaping more than i wanted to so i switched to dripping so there would be a defined 'end'. just me and my mental games i guess. i also like to switch flavors a lot so dripping just made sense.

hi, my name is vapero and I am a dripper

I just discovered dripping 3 days ago (when I changed the coils of my phoenix v3 for the fist time)
this is amazing! the taste, vapor, TH, and the taste (yes again) Now I need to get a good 22mm dripper
I've made 3 coils in 3 days, just trying out different builds to find the perfect vape

At this point I consider myself somewhat of a veteran at the dripping game. So from experience what you use to drip with is less important than learning how to drip with it.

As you can see, I'm apt to drip with almost anything, and because I took the time to learn how, I get a great vape from all of them.
So take the time to watch lots of videos, and ask every question you can think of.

BTW, that old atty on the left, all dressed in black, it's over two years old and still vapes like a champ. It doesn't get vaped all day, but it gets used every day. (there's a message in that statement if you want your atties to last)

Good advice. After you get used to dripping you will eventually learn how the atty feels when it needs more eliquid; I haven't been dripping very long but I can already tell when it needs a refill. If you do a dry pull on it and you don't feel or hear any crackling or gurgling at all then it's likely that the next vape or the one after it will result in the burnt flavor that ducker mentioned. Keep experimenting with the number of drops you use, watch out for leakage from overfilling, and in no time you'll really get the hang of it.

I love using my dripping atty to test juices and to just give my self a change of pace in the flavor department in order to keep my taste buds functioning. It really is a quality vape.

    Enjoy!
