Stupid thing, my hands go numb and sometimes things just fall out of them. Today , reaching for a fresh battery my fingers lost feeling and dropped one in my coffee. Took it out, rinsed , dried with an electrical dryer ( for computers ) and put it in a container of rice.

Is it pretty much trash now? Just kills me, last week I dropped one and messed up the wrapper and dented it.

IMO it should be just fine once it has dried out well in the rice. I dunked one of mine in water once and did the same. These batteries are pretty well sealed. I would still check it with a DMM to make sure the voltage is good before I would use it though. As long as that checks out, I would go ahead.

Thanks, figured I see if it could dry. I mean, cell phones get dropped in all sorts of things?

The thing is when you drop the phone, the outer case takes the beating. Imagine just dropping the LCD by itself. The battery is the same way; it has no protection like a phone does, so your impacting the cell directly. Other than that, just make sure you dry it out and test it before you charge it up/use it.
