You don't have to worry about the atty, it can get submerged without damaging it. The battery is a different matter. Don't put it in a bag of rice, and also don't press the button until it is completely dry. I'd probably try shaking the water I can out of the space around the button, then set it in a warm room for a day or so. Then, see if it works.

I think I'd be submerging both in a bucket of Lysol before doing anything else!! 8-o

the ego battery should be totally sealed yeah, I've ran mine under a faucet with no issues. If you're really worried about it, use silica gel. I keep them every time I get a packet in food or a bottle of vitamins or whatever so that If my phone or laptop get wet I've got silica gel to take care of it. If it were me though, I'd just dry it off, maybe soap and water since toilets are nasty.

If you're really worried about it, use silica gel.

This is a great idea. I would avoid the rice because I'd be afraid that the dust may get into a damp spot near the button and get sticky.
