I've had my istick since not long after they came out and it's been pretty good to me besides randomly shutting off once in a while. Last night I dropped it onto the floor and it went totally dead. I plugged it in and hit the fire button several times and it started firing but the screen is dead.
This is just awful timing because I just started a new job the beginning of December and the front diff in my jeep went so I borrowed a good amount of money from a friend to fix it then the next week ( last Thursday) out of nowhere I got laid off from work. They stressed it wasn't my fault and business was just too slow and since I was the newest guy I was the first to go. Anyways needless to say I don't have money for a new device and really need this istick to get me by for a while if possible. Honestly where I live near an Indian reservation it would be cheaper to start smoking again but I do NOT want that! Sorry for such a long post just really bummed out and hoping maybe it can be fixed. Thanks for reading and I appreciate any help I can get!

USA. State: Inebriated.
The iStick 50W sells for 35 bucks -- less if you can use coupon codes/find a sale. Even if it would be cheaper to start smoking for a day or two, after a week at 5$ (just throwing a number out there) a pack, assuming you're pack-a-day, you will have paid in cigarettes what you could have spent on a new iStick.

I don't think you're going to be able to fix the screen easily, if at all. I suggest buying a whole new unit. Who knows what other internals might be wonky as a result of the drop? Dunno if I'd take that gamble of it not charging right or something else going wrong.

I can get cartons of what I used to smoke for $22.50. I'm going to try the absolute best I can to not resort to that. If this istick can't be fixed I'll try to get by using it as long as I can. I still owe several hundred dollars for repairs on my jeep so any and all extra cash goes to that. I usually do all of my own work on my jeep but this was over my head and the weather was frigid cold.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I was going to upgrade to a rx200 with batteries and charger then the istick would be my back up. It must've landed just right because I dropped it quite a few times and it's always held up pretty good. I know I got my money's worth. I wish I had some local friends that vape that I could buy something used from or something.

And when you are finished smoking that $23 carton of cigs, what, besides a pile of ashes and butts, will you have to show for your investment...for $13-18 more you can buy a new istick50
