How is this helpful?

Some of that equipment in your signature is manufactured in China.

Sure is. And when those backups die I surely won't try to repair them. As backups you can't beat them! I love my eGo's, I use them. I like my USA made ones also. And when I get my made in Portugal I am sure I will love it also. But a backup is a backup and having one well warrantied, repairable that is tried and true can't be beat.

As long as you understand that the Chinese junk is not repairable and can't be relied upon, it is all good. So how is that helpful? By having a solid unit you won't have to worry about dropping you can stop worrying about trying to repair an eGo.

I've dropped my Twist MANY times onto concrete and nothing ever happened.

It is not "junk."

With tens of thousands of them out there some are bound to fail, and we usually hear about the ones that fail on this forum, not about the tens of thousands that have NOT failed.

Just get another Twist, but be sure it's a real eGo, not a knockoff.

So during the storm last night (sandy) I bumped the table and my ego twist hit the floor and pulled apart :( Has anyone had success putting them back together. I see where I can solder the top part back on but not sure how to get it attached to the twist part. Any suggestions?

Battery tubes are just plane and simple more durable, reliable and in the long run economical, Yes some people get almost a year from a Ego style but most get more than a year from a mod, Heres a vid where I abuse even the crappy ZMAX and it still works, Very few egos will do this. As far as "it wouldnt have broke if it was a joyetech" thats plain irrelevant. One person can drop their phone from an airplane into a rocky field and it survives without a scratch, someone else can drop it on carpet and shatter the screen. Its the luck of the drop. Theyre all made the same.. Cheap as possible. I have 4...joyetech. Dropped one, not very hard.. totalled it. Beat the button side head off another on a 2x4 to resolder the wires on the board because it stopped working.
Others are fine. Its not that they ARE garbage. Its that they become garbage more quickly.
