I have some syringes, should I just try mixing directly in that? I have been worried about contaminating flavors with nicotine.

What I meant was with a syringe it's easier to get those last bits of liquid from any container...they fit right in so no need for expensive dropper bottles. Syringes are cheap..wash them out well between ingredients (use vodka if you're paranoid) and contamination isn't an issue.

I recently bought 100 1 ml syringes for $20 and use one per flavor with my handy dandy 'syringe holster' ;)

I don't think mixing in a syringe is a good idea. Use a clean syringe for each component of diy, we use highly concentrated flavoring and cross contamination should be avoided.

Agree. But once you have your mix, a 1ml or 2 ml syringe is very good for sucking it all up. And if you stick a needle (18G, or even 20 or 22 is fine) on it you have a very nice and precise tool for tasting your new mix by dripping and wasting an absolute minimum (or, of course, fill a carto).
