Weird problem. I use a vaporshark rdna 40 with subtank on stock coils and also an aerotank. With both tanks the coils will last fine for about 4 days and then I'll get a burnt hit and the resistance on the coil will drop significantly and stay there. This has happened a number of times on both tanks. A new coil sorts the problem until a few days later. I was presuming a short in the coil originally, but it has now happened a number of times on different tanks. If I check the resistance on another device iy has the same read out. So what are your thoughts? Poor coils, mod problem?

Thanks. I've tried cleaning and rewicking. The coils still reading very low ohms (but functioning). Don't want to keep pushing in case its a short. I've been using this exact set up for about 10 months. I'm not a heavy user and these exact coils usually last me a couple of weeks as I rotate tanks. This happens suddenly, with no previous burning, loss of flavour etc

I get the opposite, at times, and i attribute it to gunk on the coils. I notice it on my rDNAs and I burn and wire brush them and, finally, they go in the dishwasher. What watts are you using? Reason i ask is that the juice keeps the coil at a stable temp. No juice or partial juice may be letting the coil get damaged by very high heat. May say something about the quality of the coil.

Oh, just kidding about the dishwasher :)

Been testing this since last posts. I have two rdnas, both topped with an aerotank mega, same juice and 1.5ohm coils at 10.5 watts. I've used them equally- one during day and one in evening. One still going steady, reading 1.7ohm. The other has burnt out two coils. Resistance on each dropped permanently from about 1.7 to 1.25 after burnt hit. Attaching tank to another device verifies the dropped resistance. I need to test for a couple of weeks I think, but its looking like the mod may be the problem. Any further thoughts?
