Dry burn

I've been using the Mini Protank II for two months now, with great success.
I clean and change coils frequently.
Today I came across a video that shows how to take the coil apart, clean it, then dry burn.
Am I missing something?
Is it worth the effort?

Dry burning is an effective way of cleaning the gunk off of the coils. This will prolong the life of the coil and produce a better vapor and better flavor than with the gunk on it. I dry burn regularly on my MPT and it is really easy. By maintaining the coils and dry burning them, you will not have to change them so frequently. Hope this makes sense...

Dry burning has good benefits, it will give you a cleaner taste. It's really so easy. After cleaning, put the tank back on the battery, then unscrew the tank bit so that the chimney is still on your battery. Then fire it until it stops popping and smoking

It does help if the coils are really gunked up. I never liked dry burning though as there's nothing like a brand-spanking new coil. So, I now rebuild and never dry burn.

Dry burning works great, but keep in mind what ohm coil you have and what voltage your device is putting out, you could pop the coil. I generally keep my dry burning voltage no higher than 3.7 no matter what coil I'm cleaning.

Been there, watched the coil's little life flicker out after putting 4.8 volts through it. It was a sad day.
