Well yes and no. Everyone has a different opinion on this so really it is a hard question to answer. I do burn mine at 5v and 6v and never had a problem and my attys last a couple months minimum. I always hear of people saying they get a couple weeks out of their attys and it makes me wonder what they do to them. But it sounds to me like you do the same thing I do by just letting it get to the orange glow for a second or two then releasing and repeating until the bad smelling vapor decreases. I actually blow out the atty after a few heat ups then repeat and you will find more juice comes out after blowing it the first time then heating.

I'm a compulsive atty-blower. I blow my atomizer out after every drip. My first atomizer ever is still going strong 2 months and 9 days later. Haven't had one single atomizer die on me yet and I know exactly what you mean by wondering what in the world people are doing to their atty's lol. I guess there are bad batches and all but I hear about people having atomizer after atomizer dying and its crazy. I do dry burns once a day before bed. I was worried about losing my first atomizer- kinda attached to it. Thanks for the input I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this!

same with my atty's, had them for months with no problems. I rune them through pepsi, rinse in alchohol and dry them out every once in a while just to refresh them. They've taken a vapin and still ticking :)

and my batteries are still going too, they don't stay charged as long, but they still give me at least an hours worth of vaping, but I use my pt every chance I get nowadays.

Same here! (Not with the pepsi or alcohol, I'm kind of superstitious when it comes to those cleaning methods that involve wet ingredients to clean, I stay away from them) But about the passthrough, That's what I'm vaping on at 5v, and I haven't used my regular PV since - actually there's something wrong with it, the adapter stopped working the DAY I got my passthrough... how convenient...

Depends on your atties I guess. I have been dry burning my 7 week old 510s @ 3.7v then 5v then 6v and even 1 time at 9v just to see what hoppens. the only atties i have lost is due to me playing with them. Removing wick and removing attie from holder trying to mod something. Other than that they take a beating and work just fine.:vapor:

Wow 9v! Impressive. And yeah, all of my atomizers don't seem to be anywhere near as sensitive as some people say they are. I must be lucky or take good care of them. Lol I've removed the wick on one of my 510's and can only use it for dripping now, but I'm not disappointed cause I only drip anyway. Lost the carts and never looked back!
