Hi all,

Just received a DSE 801. The directions say to charge for several hours until the light turns green. Two hours in and the light is green. I have read a number of posts here that say green means done. I took the battery out and charged the second battery. That was also done within two hours. Is that normal? I bought from myvaporstore.com and I do not believe they send out charged batteries. Just want to make sure I am doing this right.

Ignore light colors in the charger and charge the batteries per the manufacturer recommendations. Lights, like gas gauges on your car, are inherently inaccurate.
Actually, if the charger light turns green it's not charging any more. You can leave the battery on there for 8 or 12 hours but when the light turns green the charging circuit is turned off so your not gaining anything.

I know, I've read those too but apparently that's not true. It depends on how low the battery is when its put on the charger. I wait till it starts flashing when I'm using it and it always turns green after 2 hours. If you put a fully charged battery on a charger the light might not turn red at all. Put a partially used battery on there and it will stay red only for the amount of time it takes to put what was used back in. I've found that to be accurate even though there has been tons of threads on what's true or not.

Here it is...says its from the info he got off one of PureSomker's Vids.

I bought my 901 from puresmoker and there he has an instructional video on what to do when you get your first kit. In the video he said that there are issues with the lights on the chargers and they can't be relied on. He says no matter what lights you see on the charger, the initial charge should be no less than eight hours, and every charge after that should be no less then four. That's what ive been going by and it's worked fine for me hope that helps
