I just got my new Riva 510 (yay!)...the manual says to charge it for 8 hours before it's used and to let it go the full 8 hours even if the light turns green. The light on mine went green after about 3 minutes on the charger, which would lead me to think the battery is already charged.

Should I take it off, or let it charge per the instructions?

Same goes for a new eGo. I charged mine for like 20 minutes.. While vaping on the other before it hit the charger. I've read that with Lithium-Ion batts, leaving them on the charger after they have reached the shut-off limit (fully charged green light) can actually damage them in the long run!

Nope. They won't be damaged. The chargers will stop charging after the green light comes on to prevent overcharging. Li-Ion batteries also don't have any "memory", so you can charge them whether they're depleted or not without any ill effects.

Don't follow those instructions! They're outdated and don't apply. Just put one battery on the charger and vape your head off with the other one!

I like the cut of your jib, WoH.

I got my first 510 vaporiser today, and this is exactly what I did; but I didn't know if I was risking the battery.

Thanks.

"...But seriously- from time to time take a break." Ha, ha! I'm with him. I think you get a bigger dose of nicotine from a good vape hit than a normal cigarette drag. I may vape more often that I would have lit up but I only take 2-4 vapes at a time and I really feel the nicotine work. This would be an interesting thing to see a good study done on and I hope we have those resources soon. But for now, nicotine is the drug that is too good to put down! Analogues be gone!
