DSE-905 6 volt

Just bored the body of my dse905 using a 9/16 boring bit. The cr2 fits in the body but the problem is that the top battery can't reach the connection in the back cover (the switch part) because of the new installed grey rubber of the V2(makes it too tight). I checked with my v1 cover switch and that one fits and works.

My v1 switch was DOA (the led light works but it does not vape) so i cannot use that one. Another problem is that the CR2 inside the body gets stuck where the sides fall away.

If anyone modded the dse905 v2 let me know how it turned out.

ok problem solved about the grey rubber. I just removed it .
Now the problem is that it only works when i put the switch cover on(just before screwing it in). after it screwed in it doesnt work. Probably because the battery inside falls in the sides.

Ok. i Took the grey rubber, Cut it in half(cut the short part out), and put it in the Body where the side falls. It fits perfectly there since its the exact same size as in the switch part. And it works perfectly!

I used a dremel sanding wheel, it bores the brass out perfectly, just the right diameter. I agree after removing the grey rubber in the top and cutting the top 1/4" piece off it works perfectly.

I got mine from AquaVapor, already modified and it works with the stock battery as well as with 2 CR2s. The only thing is that it does NOT screw all the way down with the 6V option, but still is tight enough to not come loose.

The rubber piece inside the top doesn't get in the way at all.

My mod cannot screw all the way down either, but i don't really care. I thought of trying to cut a portion of the spring, but i don't have the correct tool to do the job (maybe some kind of tweezers cutter) and i don't want to take the risk of broking it.
I drilled a small hole somewhere on the body in case the batteries vent.
3.7v still works great also.

Just added an O-ring on mine to fill the gap and its really nice.
It also prevents the device from rolling when putting on my desk because of the rubber gripping.

Looks great. It really looks like it was designed that way. By the way, how well does it vape at 6v? I have not done mine yet because I am still enjoying the heck out of it at 3.7 with the 510 atty.

Vapes great. The same as my Copper. I sometimes use a 510 on it (using an adapter). But i keep my 510's mainly for 5v and 3.7v. The only problem that i have from this is that when i use 2 CR2'S (6v), the bottom cut-off switch won't work, i have to let it pressed on and screw the top part after inserting the batteries. If i switch off and back on, the unit won't work, i then have to re-screw the top and remake the connection ( i don't know why). at 3.7v it does not do that.

I heard from a guy that sells them that if the batt is put in backwards and it still works that it is a bad unit.Can come on by itself and burn up.This was several weeks b4 xmas and he said he was sending his inventory back.There may be a cleaning cycle,I don't know.Got two of them for xmas gifts and they both work fine.6v looks pretty cool though,might get my buddies to give it a try.

Good, cause mine don't work with an inverted battery.

on this dse905 i recieved whats up with the blinking light after 5 seconds then shuts off really weak vap is this defective machine for a manual it should stay on for as long as i press button right not blink and shut off after 5 seconds please advise

The cutoff for a DSE905 is around 15 seconds. if you are only getting 5 seconds, it sounds like either your battery needs to be recharged or maybe it is defective.
