I got the super-cheap 508 starter pack and a few 508 disposables to test out. They're not exactly bad, but they're pretty far from a proper KR808 kit. The only major problem is the incredibly hard draw. If you've ever tried to drink a Wendy's frosty
through a straw, you have a good idea of the experience. If it wasn't for that, I would honestly
recommend the $14 starter kits and $5 disposables to people who wanted to try it out for cheap. The
juice flavors aren't spectacular, but they're no worse than what you usually get in Chinese prefilled carts. Build quality is, as I said, minimal, but all the units I got worked ok. If they had a manual battery option and the draw wasn't so hard, they could really catch on.
The batteries from the $5 disposables seem to be the same as the battery in the starter pack and
will recharge with the USB charger. I don't know how many charges are expected of it though. The starter kit and disposables are the same length, though as you can see they also offer an extended-length disposable 2-pack. The long and short versions are compared to a standard manual 510 in the first pic.
Oh, and these
are thread-compatible with other KR808D-1 products. The cartos actually work halfway decently on my bartleby with a 901 adapter, so whatever is causing the hard draw has to do with the battery, not the cartos.
