DSE vs RN cigar internals / differences - pics

Side by side. DSE has epoxied wires. RN has a piece of tape over the end. Winner: DSE






Atomizers:
DSE has two huge venturi holes

RN has ONE venturi hole, and it's a smaller hole than the DSE holes!
I ended up mucking with the DSE holes, making them a bit smaller to get more vapor out of my DSE cigar. Maybe it's just the one I have? I don't have another DSE to compare with.

RN seems to really slurp the juice a lot better, Winner




Switches:
RN has an open switch. The piece fell off this one already. There's more pics of it complete in the "why cigars go supernova" thread


DSE has an enclosed switch





Atomizer size:
The DSE has a huge atomizer. Same size as a Ruyan Bling cigar, actually. The RN has a smaller one.




Here's a BLING atomizer, just to compare.

The DSE is made better, the quality of everything on it is considerably better than the RN.
Sadly, I found it didn't vape was well as the RN though. It was colder, and the coil didn't seem to get juiced as much as the RN.

If you mean model numbers, RN4062 and DSE701. They are cigars.

Neither. DSE's are made better, including the switch. RN's vape better though.
Given a choice right now, I'd pick an RN. But I've had lots of RN's, and only ONE DSE - maybe "my" DSE was substandard.

Ruyan Bling - the original cigar (not shown in this thread) is the top quality.
It has an enclosed switch,and a one way valve to keep juice from going back down inside.

But it has the coldest coil, and weakest vapor of all of them :-(

GREAT work on showing us the inside of these cigars! Please tell me that you offer repair services. : ) Mine (RN model) died after a week. The seller that I bought it from claims to have a 30 day money back guarantee, but he (Alan Hood from ecigarettecigar.com) refuses to return my phone calls or reply to my emails. I hope you can help... Thanks

Nope, no repair service, sorry. The costs of mailing it around, for something that has such a random lifespan, isn't really worth it... just take the plunge, wash it out... if that doesn't work, rip it apart and clean it. Nothing to lose, since it's broken now, right?

By the way, RN cigars are virtually impossible to purchase now. If you have one, it is worth playing with, there's not much else out there that works as well as they do.

Another great informative post!!! I just want to give credit where it is do... If it wasn't for your pics and information I would have never had rebuilt my first atty. If more people would read, pay attention, and learn. The rebuild process is not that hard to do. It's mostly time consuming and a lot of patience. Thanks for all the Information and Pics
