Iv been running a single 18650 mech mod for a while with AW IMR 1600mah batteries. Im looking into getting mech box mod but not sure what kind yet. If I do go with a box will the two batteries double the output voltage and also double the max continuous discharge amps? My lowest build is about 0.3 ohms. Also what kind of batteries should I get for this kind of rig? My last set came from RTD but idk if they are still reliable.

1: mech boxes are built for parallel batteries.
Voltage remains the same; max cdr doubles

Still use IMR. I only run Samsung 25R's in mech's. A mosfet is a small switch that turns a small voltage from your switch into a big current from your batteries to power you rda, tank or whatever. Its the safest way to go and there cheap. Most people on here use the IRLB3034. Its a negative switch. There are numerous wiring diagrams on here. Not hard at all

So if I get a box with wire get one with a mosfet?
If you are builing low resistances that allow a lot of current, a mosfet can allow a separate, low-current circuit to be used for the switch. The switch wasn't designed for all those amps and could otherwise fail.

So, yes, you should get a box with a mosfet.

i see the 25R's on rtd are listed as INR is that the same thing as IMR?

IMR stands for "Lithium manganese round", but most high drain/safe chemistry batteries are widely known as IMR chemisty. Samsung's INR stands for (Lithium nickle round). Panasonic uses "NCR" which stands for "Nickle cobalt round". All three are considered considered safe chemistry batteries. Adding either manganese or nickle to a lithium battery makes it safe chemistry.
