I recently bought an evod tank. It came with a single coil in it. I also bought a couple of new coils which were single coils. It's time to buy some more coils. I was wondering if I can use dual coils in this tank also. I'd need to order them on line as the bm is sky high at five dollars a coil. And would I get more vapor out of a dual coil?

I cannot say for certain but I think the DC is a bit longer in overall length, so no it may not work. A DC will take more power to work to it's potential and will be a warmer hit, and for more vapor it should produce a little better cloud. This too depends on the juice, you can get more vapor by simply changing to a higher VG using the original coil.

Hope this helps you some!

This has a glass tank. I bought it at the brick and mortar. But in talking to people here I found out it's not made by Kanger so I guess you could call it a clone. It did come with a single coil in it.

Just for giggles, try finding the tank picture you have at a online site, copy the image to your computer then place here as an attachment. This way it can be seen by all and narrow down a better idea of what can be used or not.

Five dollars a coil??? Wow, that's ridiculous. You can use single coils in tanks made for the dual coil (aero tank, pt3, ect) but not the other way around. Personally, I prefer single coils in my kanger tanks. The dual coils don't put out any more vapor and they get gunked up in half the time.
you mean by re-coiling them yourself?not as a whole replacment head.

No, I don't like rebuilding my kanger coils. I tried building a single coil in the dual coil head, but had too many issues. So, I've been using the stock single coils in my aero tank

Typically, you can only fit a dual coil in a dual coil clearo. You can usually not fit a dual coil head in a single coil clearo, but you CAN fit a single coil head in a dual coil clearo.

Just buy the single coil heads. The dual coils aren't that much better IMO...
